An Advent devotional for Christmas that will stir hope and inspire worship.

As dawn broke on that first Christmas morning, the sun rose on a new era: God's king had come to Earth to bring about his kingdom.

Join Sinclair Ferguson as he opens up the first two chapters of Matthew's Gospel in these daily devotions for Advent. Each day’s reflection is full of insight and application, and will help you to arrive at Christmas Day awed by God's redeeming grace and refreshed by the hope of God’s promised king.

Searching for an Advent study...

I was searching for an Advent study to walk through the month of December in light of the birth of Christ. Although the content was relevant, it seemed to miss the mark of what I was hoping for. The primary narrator was pleasant and I adored his accent. He had a way of pulling you into each story in his repertoire. Then suddenly, a female voice would appear, two octaves louder and with such abounding enthusiasm, it startled me on more than one occasion. This selection was fine, although I don't think I recommend it to someone who is looking for an in-depth study as I was.

Great writing!

Wonderful study not just for Christmas but a study of the book of Matthew and the life of Christ. Important cultural understanding helps the reader get a full picture of the meaning of Matthew’s writing and Christ’s work. A beautiful book.

Beautiful Advent Journey with a Scottish Accent

Dr. Sinclair Ferguson lends his Scottish lilt to the reading of his beautiful Advent work.

Simple and engaging enough to capture the imagination of children, yet with razor sharp logic and sound doctrine for those who can appreciate it.

Listen and be blessed. ~NAC~
