Managed to finish 1st book - just to hear outcome. Cannot bring myself to listen to other books in set.

Horrendously boring narration

Stumbled upon this by accident, the first story is let down slightly by the poor quality of the recording, however, the storylines, characters and everything else are great, also well researched, I like the fact that although set in Cornwall, there are fictional locations as well as real ones, I've really enjoyed this series.

It was a very enjoyable story, the bad pronunciation on a lot of words I found really annoying and off putting, which detracted from the overall enjoyment.
The narration was very monotone, if you aren't careful you can loose the plot a bit and loose which character it talking.

I can't comment on all of the stories in this collection as I only got half way through the first one before the monotone of the readers voice caused me to give up.
In addition the storyline was confused and mostly about the authors views on alternative lifestyles.
Not my best buy.

I do think that maybe this would have been better if a trained actor had read the books rather than the author. I was looking forward to the whole set, but found the narration boring and monotonous and could only get halfway through the second book? Would not recommend.
