Summary

Elon of Aerilann, elven advisor to the high king, helped negotiate the treaty between his people, the dwarves, and men. He suddenly finds that fragile truce threatened from without by an unknown enemy and from within by old hatreds and prejudice.

Can he and his team uncover the threat, and can he convince the high king to act before it's too late? At what cost?

loved

I loved the narration of Zak Price

Loved Elon and Ailith's, Colath, Jallia and Jareth. It was great listening about the five true friends and the war they fought. . This is a fast moving pace of the story. The interaction between characters was great.I really want to see a happy ending to this story

Good story but

I did enjoy listening to this book, there are parts that irked me but overall a good story that was rarely too dull. However the writing seemed a bit forced, the dialogues didn't feel very natural and the way the emotions are described, it almost feel like it is been forced down your throat.

There can be a 3-5 min gaps where they are just explaining their mood and emotions, it is the same thing over and over again between same characters. It was also very confusing sometimes when it switched between characters. X looks at Z and suddenly we're in Z's perspective. With that said, it is a good story and engaging.
