The Colwyn Bay Killings
When a young man is murdered in a fire at a holiday park, it seems that his complicated love-life might provide the clues to his killer. When their prime suspect disappears and with time running out, Ruth must track down the killer before it’s too late.

Good but…
The usual format which is enjoyable l, decent twist at the end. But why oh why can’t they get a narrator who can pronounce Welsh words and place names accurately? Ad a Welsh speaker it really spoils the enjoyment!

Excellent series
I have really enjoyed this series. The stories are gripping. The characters are realistic and easy to empathise with and the narration is first class. The only thing I found difficult and somewhat jarring is the author's frequent use of cut and paste of passages, even whole chapters. The oft repletion of phrases such as "weed strewn", "assure blue"and "skeletal branches" etc. becomes a bit tedious and spoils the enjoyment of the narrative somewhat. Other than this, I have found the series very desirable and am looking forward to the next installment.

Brilliant series
I totally love the Ruth Hunter books and this one has been really different and interesting with Ruth ‘incapacitated’ 😀 Always well written with a good twist and contrary to other opinions I couldn’t imagine a different narrator doing justice to these characters!! I can’t wait until next month for the next……
