About this listen
Coroner Jenny Cooper investigates…. An unlikely suicide or a deadly conspiracy? When Bristol Coroner Jenny Cooper investigates the fatal plunge of a man from a motorway bridge, she little suspects that it has any connection with the sudden death of a friend’s thirteen year old daughter from a deadly strain of meningitis. But as Jenny pieces together the dead man’s last days, she’s drawn into a mystery whose dark ripples stretch across continents and back through decades.
In an investigation which will take her into the sinister realms of unbridled human ambition and corrupt scientific endeavour, Jenny is soon forced to risk the love and lives of those closest to her, as a deadly race to uncover the truth begins….

Amazing
Another fantastic Jenny Cooper book. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each book in the series so far and this one doesn’t disappoint. Frighteningly thought provoking, Jenny gets to the heart of the matter, as she always does, whilst leaving the reader feeling uncomfortable that they have just been given insight into shadowy activities that could very easily become reality.

Brilliant
This is a brilliant intelligent thriller, offering complex believable characters and excellent plotting around contemporary issues. The narration by Sian Thomas is superb - she really inhabits the characters, making each one distinct and credible. It's an excellent combination of pacy writing and vivid narration.

Gripping
Great series but this book is quite scary to listen to during the COVID 19 pandemic given the actions of government agencies and other parties interested in only covering their own backs. At times became distracted thinking of what is happening in the here and now and the story itself. Thoroughly recommend it

South African and Kiwi accents.
I love Sian Thomas’ narrations. She has a lovely voice. Unfortunately her South African and New Zealand accents have room for improvement. However I have found very few people able to get the South African accent right.

Another absorbing story!
M R Hall has come up with another original story, cleverly plotted and wonderfully brought to life by the excellent Sian Thomas.
Jenny Cooper is a bit of an infuriating heroine at times, always jumping in her car and racing off to follow up leads, with no time to give reasons to her (annoyingly priggish) Officer, Alison.
Do Coroners really do this? No matter, it makes for an entertaining yarn!

Excellent Book
This, another book in the Coroner series, is well up to his previous books. Jenny Cooper, the Coroner, is a no nonsense character who gives her all for the unfortunate victims. The characters are believable, the plots are always good. One of the most standout features of the series though, apart from the writing, is that Sian Thomas has, in my mind the perfect voice for the character. How many times are books let down by whiny voices. Not in this case. Roll on the next Coroner book.

Addictive.
I have just binged on this entire series. The Coroner proved to be little addictive xx
