Summary
Would you marry an alien to save the life of a family member?
Maya Arnold was leading an ordinary life, working a boring job, helping care for her sick sister, and watching too much TV with her mom on the old couch. Then the aliens arrived.
Offering a cure for cancer in exchange for women willing to volunteer as brides, the Cerasteans dangle the one carrot Maya cannot resist: a way to save her sister. Follow Maya as she joins the Bride Program and finds adventure, friendship, and love.
Commander D’Avii and the surviving Cerastean males have been searching the galaxy for a new home since the mysterious destruction of their planet. Finding Earth and its women was a miracle.
Like most Cerasteans, Commander D'Avii finds humans to be fascinating creatures - none more so than bride volunteer Maya. His attraction to her is instant and intense. Still he knows Maya can never choose him, a warrior, with so many higher-caste scientists seeking their own mates. To do so would shame the scientists and tear the last of his people apart, yet he aches at the loss of something he never even had.

I didn’t want it to be over
I really enjoyed this story. The liked the characters. I liked how they incorporated the worlds together. I would be interested in the other characters stories as well. The narration was great. I definitely recommend this book. 🎧Audiobook Obsession

Great little romance that will make you smile
Want a cinnamon roll sweetheart instead of a non-verbal alpha caveman? Want a main female character with personality who makes friends with other women and goes after the man (alien) she wants? Want a sweet romance with minimal stress, no triggers and no creep factor- but with a healthy side of spice? This book has it all! Highly recommend!

Quick and fun!
This was a great quick read! I had been in a book funk after finishing a dark series and this was the perfect pick-me-up! A solid introduction to the series with teases at other couples to come. Narrator did a great job doing the different POVs and was easy to listen to. Will definitely be listening to more in this series!

A short and sweet story
No angst, slight feels and a touch of humour. This was just what I needed. A great book to step away from reality. The story and characters are well developed, but what I liked best was knowing that all the secondary characters were building in the background. I can't wait for what they have in store. Can't fault the narration. Easy to listen to and follow.

Enjoyable
I loved listening to Verla Bond,
Maya volunteers for the bride program, to save her sister from cancer.
She sees and catches the eyes of a gorgeous warrior D'Avii . Both are attracted to each other. This is a beautiful love story with a little bit of naughty. I loved listening.

Surprisingly Sweet
This isn’t my typical genre, but I enjoyed this story. This isn’t brutish aliens kidnapping earth women to have their way with them.
Maya volunteers for the Bride Program with hopes her younger sister can get healed. Everything is mutual and consensual. It’s an “adult” story but I enjoyed the sweetness that formed between the human and the alien.
So glad I have this one a chance!

Quick and straight to the point
Quick and straight to the point... great short and hot story. I thought it was romantic and cute between the characters. It was surprisingly that the aliens adapted quick to what humans wanted. Anyways the narrator did great job bringing the characters to life. I hope there are more stories about the other girls as well.

It's ok
Honestly this wasn't that funny or sexy. There are parts I liked and maybe I'll check out this series of novellas on Kindle Unlimited if they are part of it, but I wouldn't spend money/credits on these books.
I liked the characters and I liked the world building, but with such a short story a lot is missing. I honestly expected the romance part to kick off before the last 45minutes of the book so that the story would focus on their relationship with culture clashes. It felt like it was a missed opportunity for what was basically a slow burn.
The worst part was the narration. Verla Bond had a hard time with character voices and her cadence was very choppy and stiff. Maybe this was her first narration job and maybe she'll get better, but there is no way I'm going to listen to her narration with this series.

An Easy Read
I enjoyed listening to this book. It was funny And entertaining. It was refreshing to listen to a romance story that was not mostly sex scenes. I have found that too many authors write mostly sex scenes in their romance story. I will purchase the next book in this series.

Exceeded expectations ❤
New author and narrator for me. Really enjoyed this and found it very interesting. Trying more sci-fi and loving the focus on cultural differences. Wasn't sure this was going to have a hea and liked the idea, but it has a hot af hea. My one beef, too short! Verla is a new narrator to check out.

Delightful, Slow Burn SciFi Alien Rom Com
Take some blistering hot, horned, reptilian other world Aliens who think when you say something is “so cute you want to just eat it up” you mean you want to well ... actually eat it. Mix in a few bored, smart, savvy prospective brides for said Aliens, add expert narration, and you get three hours of pure unadulterated listening pleasure! The Bride Program is a five star no hold barred laugh out loud delight!

Sweet, Sexy, and Fun Sci-Fi Alien Romance!
This was my Dane Griggs's book, and won't be my last. This is the first novella in the Saving Ceraste Series, a sexy, Humorous Sci-Fi Alien Romance. Maya and D’Avii share an instant attraction, and a strong chemistry. Maya is strong and smart. D'Avii is handsome and protective. I like to have both POV. The supporting characters are great, and interesting. The world building is intriguing. The storyline is sweet, romantic, and fast-paced. I like Maya's family. Verla Bond did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. This was a light and fun listen. Looking forward to listen to Bedside Manners for Aliens, the next book in the Series. If you like Sci-Fi Alien Romance, this one is for you.

Sweet Sci-Fi love story!
This story is mutual and consensual. D'Avii and Maya have instant chemistry, but the alien's caste system makes their love forbidden. The one thing in their favor is that the aliens desperately need human brides. The women have too much time on their hands and find themselves in serious yet comical conditions. I love the patience of these aliens. It's amazing how negotiating can solve so many concerns. Too bad that can't happen in real life. The narrator does an excellent job of portraying the emotions of these characters. I recommend this Audible book. It is a quick short love story covering the love of family, friends, and mates. All sides win in this story.

Light Short Novel
This is a great short story that you can finish in a day. No heavy plot but I love it the lightness of it. I'm glad I listened to The Bride Program as before this story I was listening to something dark and very heavy. So, if you want something light you should listen to this.
The only thing that I didn't like was the narrator's voice (a little nasally) but throughout the whole story I got used to it.
