Summary

Four tales of terror from the author of Fleshbags. Two deputies make a routine yearly stop and get a treat that will last them the rest of their lives. A man trying to bond with his stepson while trick-or-treating welcomes a lone child to join them. A gravedigger discovers a trick that puts his life on the line. And a German officer finds himself trapped in a slowly collapsing building being pursued by the man he just killed.

Also, an excerpt of the upcoming novella, Axe to the Face.

Wonderful shorts. Able to deliver the chills quickly

Short stories (in my opinion) can be harder to deliver than novels. You just create characters, connect with the reader/listener, something of a plot, and deliver the twists and the terror and all in a few minutes. I found this to be a delightful collection of tails that deliver. I didn’t even have one that I didn’t like. Get this great collection and enjoy it.
