About this listen
London, 1884. A culprit is on the run after a fatal poisoning in Bermondsey. It seems like a simple case for Penny Green to report on, until a series of macabre photographs is discovered.
As the poisonings continue, Scotland Yard is convinced they have their suspect. It's not long before they're outwitted, and no one is safe. Penny and Inspector James Blakely must avoid the red herrings and track down the manipulative poisoner.
But could there be more than one?

Great story BUT something is bugging me!!!
Yet again, Emily Organ has had written a great book that's been quite addictive! There is however something that's been bothering me... I thought in the last book that I heard mention of Mrs. Garnet coming from West Africa and whilst I'd been admiring the narrators West Indian/ Caribbean accent,, as the daughter of a West African - a Ghanaian to be precise, probably referred to as the gold coast at this point in history - I can attest that the accent the narrator uses is completely wrong for Mrs. Garnett ! Gabrielle Baker seems to be quite talented with accents, and narrating in general, so it surprises me that she has made such an error. considering this is at least the second book she has narrated in which the author clearly states that Mrs. Garnett is West African, and not West Indian.
other than this issue - which as you can imagine, has become very frustrating for me to listen to - I am thoroughly enjoying this series of books.
