About this listen

Demons have been hunted to the verge of extinction. Those who know of the horrors lurking in the dark act as though the threat is long past. It has allowed Conrad to continue his education undisturbed, to work toward joining his friends as a comrade-in-arms rather than a child to be protected.

The appearance of two powerful demons changes everything. The creatures are back, stronger than ever, and the years of quiet are at an end. The Principality finds itself in need of demon hunters once again. Conrad and his comrades are the ones for the job.

The chain of clues draws them ever closer to what their unseen enemy desires, and they find themselves in a deadly race to stop it from regaining its former power.

Another great story & performance

Excellent book. I enjoyed the first book in the series and looking forward to the next book. The narrator brings the book to life.

Excellent listen

good world build, characters and story. a solid fantasy trilogy, decent narration but Simon would make this amazing, like dragon slayer or the wolf of the North

a darker second book in the trilogy but a good story

a brilliant follow up to the squire, our story takes places a few years later, the character and world building continue to be excellent. and it's building up towards an epic finale. can't wait for book three

another smashing entry

I tend to follow narrators now as they have genres and this series is a gem!
wonderful characters also

Great story and I loved the narration

Just couldn't get to the story because of John Lee using stupid accents. Very irritating, unrelated voices, often mixed up across the characters that added nothing to the story. there is a fairly good tale in this book but I couldn't hear it due to the useless narrator. won't listen to the next one if they keep the idiotic voices.

John Lee's silly voices kill this book

I found this book particularly annoying. Between the narrator and the repetitive use of said made this unlistenable. Shame, really, as I enjoyed all the others by the same author and narrator

Awful narration

Got boring and repetitive. I made it through to the end but would not recommend.
