Summary
Temptation has never been so dangerous.
A domineering force in Miami’s volatile criminal underworld, Brad Black is respected. Feared. His deadly accurate trigger finger and indestructible persona has earned him his intimidating reputation and, up until six months ago, hookers, drugs, and protecting the Black empire was the sum of his life’s purpose.
Until he saved her.
Wild, brave, and beautiful, Pearl Kennedy is Brad’s kryptonite. A distraction. A young distraction. But with enemies joining forces, coming at them with more force and less mercy than ever before, she’s also a deadly distraction. Focusing on the end game, finding and killing their enemies, has to remain his priority.
But Brad completely underestimates the power of his connection with Pearl. And he can’t shake the niggling feeling that there’s more to her than meets the eye.
Pearl Kennedy was saved from the clutches of human traffickers by one of the world’s most notorious criminals—Brad Black. Since being taken back to his family’s mansion in Miami, she’s felt safe and protected, despite Brad’s cold, brusque, and confusing treatment. He should disgust her—he’s flaunted his hedonistic tastes unapologetically.
But no matter how hard Pearl tries to fight it, she’s drawn to the lethal, handsome killer. Yet she knows she’s living on borrowed time, and to succumb to the attraction would be to expose herself and her secrets. And then it will be just a matter of who will kill her first. The monsters from her past. Or Brad Black.

Thrilling
I enjoyed the whole series and am bereft it's finished my only gripe is Brad's voice artist. Dear God his English accent is so awful he sounded like he came from different countries, it kept pulling me out of the story. That said Jodi weaves a great plot, thrilling excitement and a very satisfying ending, only problem is, I didn't want it to end. Thanks for ride!

just wow
Well how do you begin this whole series has been an emotional roller-coaster.
Each book while a stunning piece of writing constantly kept us all guessing.
Everything character however large a role were blended in in such a unique way so we could know them all.
The final book gives all we need to say goodbye to theses wonderful characters ( until we re read )
Jodi Ellen Malpas has the most amazing way of threading these stories together in such a way until the end we never know what final outcome will be.
So as we say goodbye to our Unlawful Men we do so knowing That somewhere deep in Jodi mind there are more fantastic stories to be told.
only had option for 5 stars ⭐ could have given more

Brads English accent is Australian,
I loved this book, with Brad's narration sounding just like I had imagined him in the previous four books and even the Australian sounding English accents just how I imagined jim when tying ti sound like Danny or James. ReLly liked the evolution of the girls as they became more independent of the boys and more accepting of themselves. wonderful way to end it all especially Maggie and the Urn.
