Summary

Probably Jodis best!
I absolutely loved this book, loved the story, the characters, it was so different to all the run of the mill love stories, I cried so much, probably best not to listen when enroute somewhere 😏. Beautifully written, love Shane Easts narration.

To have love like this would fill me
What a heartbreaking and beautiful story of love and devotion. I smiled a lot and cried so much. I’ll always remember this book now!

A big surprise release from Jodie
This unannounced release was a wonderful surprise!
Different from other Jodie books however, extremely well written and took me on a emotional journey highly recommend

Omg Omg Omg well this book had me crying mostly all the way through. I got lost in this story I just couldn’t put it down I listened to it in a day . Amazing work and I will listen to it again. There were tears and Laughter
A lovely story about love and devotion.
There were laughs and light moments as well a heartfelt sadness. Not what I was expecting at all but a lovely story that I couldn’t stop listening to.

For You is Excellent
The story has humour and sadness but ultimately hope. I loved the narrators, probably one of the best listens I’ve ever encountered. I highly recommend listening to this book. You’ll need some tissues!

Beautiful
JEM has done it again! I have lived through every emotion possible! Laughing and cried, felt panic and calm.
For you is a heart wrenching beautiful story.
Lo and Luke are fated to meet, fated to be, but they have an unusual obstacle in their way. Is it even an obstacle?
I love Luke’s relationship with his grandPops, his best mate and his daughter. It show just how amazing he is.
And I could listen to Shane East all day.

Amazing
A beautiful story. The best one I have read in ages. This book makes you laugh and cry. Anyone who has been in this situation will understand. friends walk away. They do not know how to deal with the situation. You cannot blame them. I was fortunate I had a good person to support me. You need to be hugged and cuddled. That is all Lo needed and there was only Like who understood. Thank you Jodi for an insight to this

Well…that was certainly a surprise!!!
So, let me begin my review by just putting it out there that I am a huge JodiEllen Malpas fan. I have read all of her books multiple times it is for this reason that this particular book was such a surprise.
It is a complete departure from what I consider to be her norm. It is unequivocally one of the most beautifully written love stories I have ever had the pleasure of reading and then listening too. The audiobook just makes the story come alive and if so excellently narrated.
So now that I have established how much I love this story, I have to be honest, I was, hoping for, dare I say, a little bit of spice. You literally have to wait until the very last paragraph almost the very last page for there to be any sexual chemistry or passion between the female lead, and the male lead. I get it, it’s a love story, it’s all about the romance and the friendship and people needing people. It was endearing no doubt I thoroughly enjoyed how their friendship unfolded. I completely felt her pain and her anguish and her turmoil.
So what am I trying to say? If you are a true, diehard, romantic and love, a brilliantly written romance story, then you have definitely come to the right place and the right author. However, if you were looking for a spicy, explosive, chemistry and dirty/kinky, sexual romance then you need to read one of her other books😉

Utterly Beautiful!!!
I. AM. WRECKED! For You is easily one of the best books JEM has ever written. It's tragically beautiful and so human! It will shred your heart and make you laugh through tears, get angry, and feel numb and everything all at once. Billy, Lo, and Luke's story delves into some uncomfortable emotional topics, including terminal illness, verbally and emotionally abusive family, desertion, and death. Yet, it will also fill you with hope, love, and humor. So, be prepared with tons of tissues for ugly crying and crying from laughter.
Which brings me to the performances of Billie Fulford-Brown and Shane East. If they don't win awards for this I would be shocked and disappointed. They don't just read a book out loud. They portray and become these characters with every fiber of their being. Their attention to detail, down to the subtlest sigh, is absolute perfection. They elevated the story to a whole other level of emotional rawness and love. They deserve all of the standing ovations and bravos.

Wow what a beautiful story!
Hands down the best audiobook I have listened to. Narration was superb! Loved all the characters and laughed out loud many times. Will look for more books by this author. Highly recommend listening to this book.

There Better Be A Book 2 !
This was a beautiful and relatable story. I don’t understand the reviews that said it was boring. I’ve never cried reading/listening to a fictional book, but this one I did. I was putting off listening to this book because of the description of a heartbreaking cancer story, but I am so glad I listened. It took 24 hours because I was hooked. Don’t want to give it away so I won’t say more;However, if we don’t get a book 2 I will be saddened!!
The woman narrator was Great! Shane East - let’s put it this way, even if a book was bad? I would probably still listen because his voice is that good!!

Sad & Boring
Is this the same author? Normally I LOVE Jodi Ellen Malpas’ books. I have been a huge fan since This Man and have avidly read all of her books. I love her writing style and the banter between characters but this one completely missed the mark for me. Where was the banter? WHERE WAS THE LOVE STORY? Luke was busy screwing everyone else and Jo was mourning her husband/ marriage. It would’ve been fine if that was 50% of the story but it wasn’t. Sadly, IT WAS ALL OF IT. Luke and Jo barely had any romantic interactions. Honestly I was bored and fast forwarded a more than a few times. Would have given this book two stars if I didn’t love the author so much.
