Everyone is selling, all the time - but not everyone sells well, and not everyone realizes that selling is what's happening. There are so many different departments that must come together in collaboration to ensure the successful delivery of a product - and consequently a satisfied customer - that everyone along the chain should, ideally, be selling all the time, to everyone, in every department. This book tells managers and salespeople what works when it comes to connecting all the dots and, just as important, what doesn't work.

And, for as long as buyers have been saying no, salespeople have yearned for the secrets to getting past those NOs. Interesting ideas...
Would you listen to The Accidental Salesperson again? Why?
Yes, I will continue to review this book and in fact have ordered the paper copy to complement the audio experience.
What did you like best about this story?
Some of the questions and challenges of this book are very obvious but so obvious that personally I hadn't thought of them. As an accidental salesperson for a large corporation I have found that some of the ideas are impractical however, the core ideas and approach is one I follow.

First Day Confidence
I was recently hired for a sales position at a growing, nationally expanding company. My new sales manager asked me to read The Accidental Sales Person before my first day, so I ordered the paperback copy immediately and downloaded the Audible version to listen while I read and while I’m doing other tasks.
I’ve listen to the book multiple times, which is rare for me since I’m so discerning about voiceover narrations.
This book was hit out of the park by both the author & the narrator who captured the tone in an engaging, attention keeping way. I even laughed out loud a couple of times. Well done!
My first day on the new job is day after tomorrow, and I feel confident and ready to hit the ground running with new standards & systems.
Having been a sales professional for years, I wish I had discovered this book a decade ago, while I’m grateful to have found it now!
LL Alexander
BTW: My sense of Chris Lytle is that he is a person who has done a lot of personal growth work. This really appeals to me in a world so filled with “shallow end of the pool” thinking & operating. I somehow felt less alone being exposed to the thoughts from The Accidental Sales Person.
Thanks, again Chris!
