Summary

He tasted like tequila and the fake name I gave him was Rose.

Four years ago, I decided to get over one man, by getting under another. A single night and nothing more.

I found my handsome stranger with a shot glass and charming but devilish smile at the end of the bar. The desire that hit his eyes the second they landed on me ignited a spark inside me, instant and hot. He was perfect and everything I didn’t know I needed. That one night may have ended, but I left with much more than a memory.

Four years later, and with a three-year-old in tow, the man I still dream about is staring at me from across the street in the town I grew up in. I don’t miss the flash of recognition, or the heat in his gaze.

The chemistry is still there, even after all these years.

I just hope the secrets and regrets don’t destroy our second chance before it’s even begun.

Not for me

Wait what??? A 3 year old child with 2 potential fathers and you don’t get a paternity test??? Found the story too annoying to finish. Naive and frustrating

Perfect Small Town Romance

A small town romance with a big longing heart, Tequila Rose is a perfect audiobook for these cold wintery months.

Magnolia's life is going along quite nicely until she bumps into Brody, the guy she hasn't seen in four years. The chemistry and attraction is still very strong, but Maggie's life is more complicated now, and she is forced to confront secrets she has kept to herself.

This book has a lovely, charming, warm and endearing quality. It is a tale of a classic love affair. Brody and Maggie seem so perfect for each other, but the past has a way of intervening in the present.

This is such a lovely story. The main characters are so likeable, engaging and relatable. I am hooked and looking forward to completing this series.

Asymmetric

I should have taken a shot each time the author used this to describe the H’s smile. It had all the makings of a good story, a great narration team, but it fell short. I feel like I wasted a credit on an author I wanted to give a second chance. The story could have been so much better with more character development and less of the whiny slow burn. Just a boring lifetime movie in the making.

I hate cliffhangers!

I buy all of Willow Winters books. Some of these books I listen to or read a second time. Nowhere in the first book when I first purchased it did it tell me that there was going to be a follow on book I went back and checked before I left this review. When I know it’s going to be a duet I usually wait until the second book comes out so that I can read them back to back I’m extremely disappointed in this enough for me to leave a bad review for an author that I love to read and respect her abilities. Also, I love Sebastian York and his narrations however, I did not like the narration from Lydia Dornette, at all, it was a turn off to me when she spoke.

Secrets, lies and love triangle!!

Willow Winters wrote another amazing book. This book had secrets, lies, and love. Magnolia has had so much happen to her in her life that it only makes her stronger. She lives in a small town where everyone knows everyone. She went away to college and ends up meeting Brody and having a one night stand. Family issues causes her to return home abruptly.

Years later Brody ends up in the small town where Magnolia is from but he knows her by a different name 😉. The secrets and lies start to pile up on Magnolia. On one hand there is Robert, her childhood love and on the other hand is Brody whom she has this extreme connection to. The sparks between Brody and Magnolia is explosive!

I received this book as an ARC and I highly recommend reading. There is a cliffhanger and it leaves you wanting more. Who will Magnolia choose??

I hate duets.

It was not mentioned in the description of the title that it was a duet so now I am left hanging! Both books are very small so I don’t understand why it was not all in just one book!

Let's you hanging to get you to buy the next book

Do not waste your time - full of angst and no decision so you will need to purchase the next book to see who she chooses.

Who to Choose?

A cliffhanger!?! Grumble-Grumble! 😂 Seriously, this book was so good that I had a hard time putting it down to work. It’s not like any of her other books. I am used to her dark, mafia, alpha-male books. The men in Tequila Rose are gentlemen and kind. I don’t know how she’s going to choose between the two of them because I cannot tell you who I like best.

This is a very sweet love story. There are still some secrets that haven’t been revealed yet. I’m excited that we don’t have to wait too long for the second part of the story. Read this book!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Great Narration, meh story

I got this book during an audible sale, the narration was great but there were parts of the story that were unrealistic. *****spoiler alert**** if a man is with a woman off and on and said woman gets pregnant, and then you stick with her off on and provide for child, one would think paternity would be tested, before the child is 3 years old. Especially knowing that the couple was just friends (with benefits) and not "together".

Since it's a duet (2 book series), it ended on a cliffhanger, so I do feel like I need to use a credit on book 2. Now there's an option to buy or use a credit for the set of 2. I would say that the duet is worth a credit if both books come for one credit, but not worth 2 seperate credits.
