Summary

Three things my mother acquired when she became engaged:

  1. A brand new Tiffany's ring;
  2. A lavish home on Heartbreak Hill;
  3. Three privileged stepsons.

The last thing I expected was to fall for one of them, least of all Thayer Ames. Beautiful, brooding, and untouchable.

I knew it was a bad idea. He warned me himself. But he was a thunderstorm, and I never could resist the rain. It was perfect...until it wasn't.

One night was all it took for our world to crumble, leaving only secrets and lies between us. Now, I have to face him again, but the boy I used to know has become the man who loves to hate me.

Contains mature themes.

Great story!

Loved everything about this except maybe the male narrator. His voice was very deep and low. I had to turn the volume up every time he was speaking and he sounded like a 45 year old man instead of a college boy. 😳 Besides that it was a great story line!

great story

this is thayer and Shane's story. it starts out as a step brother romance but in all it really isn't. Shane fell in love with Thayer as soon as they met. they his everything from everyone. then tragedy hit and Shane moves. so the mystery starts back up when Shane has to move back into town and sees Thayer again. there is so much in this story that you will read. the storylines keeps you engaged. in this audible I loved Shane's voice but I really thought Thayers was to low and old sounding. it didn't make me hate the book but hearing his voice was not appeasing. I still loved the story line and will try another audible from this author.

It was okay

This felt like it should have been a series. Story was fine. It wasn’t the best book. Epilogue didn’t go far into the future for a stand-alone. Please STOP casting Thor as a narrator in young adult books. He’s too old

Absolutely amazing & incredible!!!

This is one of my all time favorite books. Therefore I had to listen to it as well and it is just as good listening to it as reading it. I lovedddd Stephanie Rose’s voice! She was a perfect Shayne!!! Her narration fit the character perfectly.

Shayne and Thayer are fire! The chemistry these two have is amazing, angsty and hot. This story is as much about rebuilding friendships as it is about rebuilding a romance.

There were parts in the story I felt sealed the fate for the main characters, Thayer and Shayne even more, to make their love and bond that much stronger. Then there were parts where my heart sunk because I was so afraid they might walk away from each other. I couldn’t listen fast enough and yet I took my time to savor. Please please listen to this book, you will fall in love with the characters, the mystery to the story and the heartfelt story of friends and lovers reconnecting.
