About this listen

The 15th thriller in the Spider Shepherd series promises even more enthralling action from the Sunday Times best seller Stephen Leather.

He is one of the world's most ruthless terrorists, codenamed Saladin. He plans and executes devastating attacks, and then, ghostlike, he disappears. Ten years ago he blew a plane out of the sky above New York - and now he's struck again, killing dozens in a London strike. But one of the latest victims is related to the acting head of MI5, who knows exactly who she wants on the case: Spider Shepherd.

Dean Martin, a psychologically damaged former Navy SEAL, is the only person in the world who can identify Saladin. But Martin was killed 10 years ago - wasn't he? Shepherd must find Martin and take him back to the killing fields on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Revenge on the world's most wanted terrorist is long overdue, and Shepherd is determined to be the one to deliver it....

Great book, 1 slight mistake

Another great book, my only gripe was that there were a couple of audio slips where accents changed for people... Noticeably lex harper is scottish again haging been a cockney in a previous book

Great, a really entertaining listen

To sum this book up: it kept me hooked, it kept me intrigued, it kept me entertained. What more could you ask for in an audiobook?

Spider hits the bullseye. Much more entertaining than the last few instalments to the series in my opinion, which was refreshing. A great listen. Excellently narrated by the king of the SAS audio-character.

Very good one.

Great performance and innovative story. Ending could be a little better as it was lame and expected.

Another brilliant listen.

More fabulous entertainment superbly narrated once again.
Only downside is spiders Mrs is becoming a pain in the butt, making fiction too close to reality. Dump her Dan, Button needs you.

You can't beat a Spider Shepherd story, this one is no exception, although it was set out slightly different from the rest, still a belter!

Loved it but...

As always, I really enjoyed this story. I particularly enjoyed the 10 year flash backs. the way the past influenced the present was brilliant.
However, Katera has become a liability. She's been around for long enough to know what Spiders work is all about. Her naivety is both dangerous and ridiculous and her level of jealousy is just annoying. I'm ready for her character to be gone. I'd love to see Spider dating Charlotte. that relationship is well overdue. alternatively he can look me up anytime.

I love this series. The character development and back history is great. I loved the link back to earlier books.

Jock Harper is Back!!

The Scottish version of Lex Harper is back 😂 Was the English version in ‘Black Ops’ a mere oversight?

Anyway another cracker from Stephen Leather.
