About this listen
Detective Sam is undercover, on the case, and ready to catch a killer...but at what cost?
Nonbinary Detective Sam is back on the mainland and looking forward to working a normal case. But one dangerous dating app, plus one annoying new rookie, multiplied by an extremely determined young man who won't stop texting them means this case is shaping up to be anything but normal.
When someone begins using the Paths dating app to target innocent women, it's up to Detective Sam to put a stop to this serial stabbers murderous mission. But first, they must ask themself: How far will they go to close the case? And how much are they willing to sacrifice along the way?

Another great story from Elle Kleos!
I enjoyed the first book in the Detective Sam series and wasn't disappointed with the second!
I love the quirky Detective Sam and fall a little more in love with Teddy with each story.
Detective Sam has two cases on the go at the same time, along with a rooky to supervise. The death of a priest sees them called to a church to investigate but they soon discover they are not welcome and are assigned to another case whilst supervising a rooky who will investigate the death of the priest. Detective Sam is then given a series of stabbings to investigate that all seem to be linked to a dating app, that happens to be owned by someone Sam previously was in a relationship with. Cue awkward conversations and jealousy of current partners, mixed with Sam being ordered to ho under cover as a cis female and all he'll is breaking loose. Her one space of solace is with Teddy, and their relationship continues to blossom.
Another great narration from TJ Clark wraps this up nicely in another solid 4 star review.
