Summary
A prophecy. A rebellion. A young woman thrust to the forefront.
Welcome to the afterlife.
Tilly can't remember much of her life, but she knows one thing: her death isn't going very well. When she's assigned to escort souls to Hell, she finds an automated system of justice based on arbitrary rules and three-strike punishments.
Determined to save her mother and a young oracle from the flames of damnation, Tilly goes through Between, Heaven, and Hell and inadvertently becomes the face of a rebellion along the way.

Love and War After You Die
A fiercely independent young woman continues her unapologetic pursuit of justice, fidelity, and love after she passes. The reader is entertained throughout the novel as the heroine forges ahead toward her goal through mythical landscapes, with a singleminded focus. A god is in love with her. Angels help her. Demons fret in her sight. Hell is her goal. How can it be? Or is it?

I couldn't stop listening
Full of unexpected twists, believable characters and a fast pace that kept me wanting to know what would happen next. I'd recommend reading this, it won't disappoint. Anyone have suggestions for other books by this author?

A Refreshing Take on Heaven, Hell, & the Inbetween
A really great story. I enjoyed every minute of it. I found it brave to take on myths, Heaven, Hell, and death itself.
I truly recommend this book if you've any interest in what happens after death and even if you don't.
The characters were great. A lot of emotions to traverse.
I hope for a sequel.

A bit meandering at first but very entertaining
At first I was a bit confused because all this information and characters were coming at me like grapeshot. I wasn’t sure where it was going, then the story started fleshing out more, the characters became more defined and then I settled into great story.
Alaura Howery was a new reader to my ears but she did a magnificent job. Wonderful nuanced reading! Good accents, I could identify each different character, she really helped make this a great story.
Since this is Ms. Gribble’s debut novel, I do look forward to listening to more interesting stories by her.
