Summary

After a days-long meteor storm, superpowers emerge, creating more villains than heroes. One man will learn how to unlock the powers of a small group of women and restore justice for all.

Toby Drake is faced with a crisis of conscience when a beautiful woman shows up on his doorstep, battered, bloodied, and on run from a super-powered thug. Trained as an engineer prior to The Storm, Toby makes a living fixing other people’s broken electronics, hardly something that has prepared him to go up against a super. He quickly discovers that it’s one thing to hear about villains doing bad things, but another thing entirely to come face-to-face with them.

Not thinking twice, Toby does the right thing and gives shelter to an embattled woman, and the two end up hiding in an old mechanic’s shop that used to belong to Toby’s family. It’s in this shop that Toby is exposed to an unburied meteorite and is powered up with an unusual superpower—the ability to unlock and supercharge the powers of others.

What Toby doesn’t understand, however, is that his new superpower comes with an unusual side-effect, which is he ends up bonding with the women he powers up and mortal enemies of the villains he touches.

Listen to Superpowers Unlocked, and join Toby and a host of new girlfriends on an action-packed adventure today!

A great book

I really enjoyed this book. It was a different take on a common story. The flow of the story was good and had good characters that were brought to life by the narrators. They did a fantastic job of it.
I can't wait to see the next book.

Interesting story, weak prose

Right off the bat the author sounds like he doesn't understand women at all. Women are gushing over minor acts of kindness and any nsfw content feels like it's been written by a teenager with a medical text book. Thankfully this becomes less and less common as the story continues.

The male narrator also isn't the greatest sounding like he's talking about deep outer space sci fi for everything from kissing to making a steak. It sort of suits the personality of the main character but I'd prefer less of a match if the narrator was still enjoyable to listen to.

All that being said, the world itself is interesting, the powers are thought out and explained, and the story itself has a satisfying plot. The book really gets going around halfway and I enjoyed the trip by the end. I don't know if I would recommend this series to fans of the genre but I will likely be continuing it once book 2 is released.

tedious with a bad reader

not there's anything wrong with the guy who reads the book but he'd be better off reading a 007 book or something slow and methodical. he has a boring almost wooden tone that really makes the book drag. he reads the sex scenes as though he's reading a instruction manual. the book itself is tedious and boring and drags through every single possible thing the character does. it almost feels as though it's filler. like the author trying to pad the book out. read it your own risk. lastly the author writes sex scenes like he's a 12-year-old boy who's never dealt with a woman. all the women characters in the book are empty and are more than obviously written by a man.

Main guy is creepy

So I like a good erotica, but the main guy is creepy. Like I’m pretty sure he’s into the barley legal type and he kept saying stuff that if I heard a guy say would set off sirens in my head. I legitimately felt uncomfortable listening to the first sex act in the book to the point I had to stop listening. Don’t know if the rest is ok.

Oh Daddy

I am 3 hours into this book and nothing, story wise, has moved much in that time. The current sex scenes, which have been about 5 at this point, sound like a virgin teenager who has watched way too much porn describe how sex happens. I have heard the word 'Daddy' and a few other words repeated sooo many times to describe the act, that I may skip through the sex scenes just to see IF there is a story in this at some point. Got a flashback to an old South Park episode where Mr. Garrison wrote a erotic novel that contain 6,083 instances of a certain word, and I believe this author might match that by the end of the book. I will try to finish this book, but this author really needs to read some good erotic novels just to get a better vocabulary and learn some more descriptive words in general.

Good Story, but.....

Good story but the narration lacked in certain areas. It was hard to tell whether there was another person speaking especially with the female narrator. In many of the explicit scenes, the female normally repeated the same thing regardless of the personage. Overall I did enjoy the story.

Really enjoyed but

Something things happened a bit faster than one would imagine. Ink walking to jump the MC was a bit fast as Silver Whip was a bit more well paced. I also think the story could've gone a more unique turn as the concept of the world is very interesting maybe the MC turning into a "villain" would've been for more compelling story. overall I really enjoyed it

I loved it

Monster Girls Unlocked was my very first what I call sexy books for men and it changed me. I was hooked. I have very bad depression/ptsd from the war and somehow these two books left me feeling very happy. Hard to explain but to say it's nice things to just go very right for a change. I really loved the way the female narrator spoke. I found it very cute the way she would end words with a T. The kinda of voice that is sexy but soothing, you could listen to all day long. The story stayed on track and always moved forward. I love that. Others focus way too much on the inner thoughts and sides stories like they are trying to add words just to add words. You have a wonderful style and a great way of telling a story. I really hope there are more to come. I can easily say you are my favorite author. If you could Pls do something that involves a former Marine maybe named Bishop. I am kidding. Pls keep up the great work.

Story is great, readers are good, but...

narration was great, as was the story, but there are audio issues. mostly with words starting withthe letter s or ending with s, like the microphone was faulty. Still serviceable and entertaining
