Summary

Life on Shelnora Island seemed to be perfect for me. A tropical paradise, great food, and beautiful women at the local sorority . . . until I crossed paths with a mysterious murder and sightings of an honest-to-God werewolf!

Now I'm surrounded by three beautiful women, all drawn into the mystery, and it turns out that my new dog is a smoking hot shapeshifter. Life's gotten crazy, but maybe, if we all work together, we'll find out who the real killer is.

Could it be the curmudgeonly divemaster with a grudge? The sleazy resort owner drumming up sensationalism for tourist bucks? The mysterious tribesman with a grudge against developers? Or is it an actual werewolf?

Maybe we'll live long enough to find out!

If scooby doo was a TV-MA show on hbo

I thought the story was decent for the most part. Granted I'm not to hard to impress, but its pretty much what it looks like. A more sleazy version of scooby doo with name changes. If that's something that interests you, you'll probably enjoy it and if it doesn't you probably won't.

Not that good

Other than the Scooby Doo references, this book was pretty boring. I guess if you like the Hardy boys and Nancy Drew mysteries, you might like this book but if you truly want a good mystery, I suggest you look to other authors

I will pass on the rest of the series.

a dissaointment from an author who has done better

first. I have to say the narrator was not good. aside from mispronunciations(I swear he said police oppicers at least once" the female voices and general floatiness just made the book worse than it should have been.

and I have to be honest. I like the authors work, but this was at best a mediocre example. aside from often clunky word choice, there were a lot of instances where I was taken out of it because the characters weren't acting like people. at all. at multiple points, they barged in to private place, bullying their way through, and got almost no pushback. they jumped to conclusions with no context or leadup, and it was often just accepted.

in the end, the book just did not work nearly as well for me as a parody of Scooby-Doo doo by this author should have, and the narration only made it worse.

I wish I could give this book higher praise. I wish I loved it. but in the end, it's only a 2-3 star audiobook.

A Great Surprise

This story is exactly what you think it is with a rather refreshing take on the cast. There is a lot of story here as well which is to say that where as there are adult scenes there are less of them then the actual story. Just a note worth making in my opinion as I have seen some complaints on books about that. The story is rather nice and goes about how one in this spoof genre would go but is not a letdown at all.

This book had me smiling from the start and only kept me that way through the whole things with a few "figures" moments in it. I do recommend picking this book up for sure and I will be working through books two and three soon enough. The one thing I did wish for which a personal thing was more get to know the characters and cast moments. Yes, you get the idea of who they are inspired by but I still wanted a more author personalized touch on it.

Ruh row...

"...and I'd have gotten away with it too, if not for those meddling kids..."

This is a really poorly written, shameless ripoff of a Sc**by D** episode, only dumber.

Scooby-Doo don’t have nothing over this

A great Scooby-Doo parody if he comes back with a scrappy doo character hell no
This was one of my new favorites to bad there wasn’t two narrators a male and female then it would of been 5 stars all the way
Found it very entertaining and was trying to figure out who done it all the way to the end
