Story
Maddison James learned a lot about life last year. Only important stuff, of course. Like how to breathe under water, how to turn an arrow into a weapon, and how to fall in love. Asher Locke. The one who stole her heart. The one who showed her the truth of her past and...hopefully her future. Now, it's just time for them to live happily ever after. Only the gods have different plans. And with Atlantis rising, Maddi isn't sure she'll survive long enough to even finish her second year, let alone have any sort of future.

Jessa Lebron doesn’t have a lot to complain about. Her father is the alpha of their wolf pack, she lives in Stratford - a protected supernatural prison town - and her best friends, the Compass quads, are the strongest dudes of the four races: shifter, vampire, fey, and magic user. Yep, life is pretty much exactly how she wants it. Until the fateful day, just after her 22nd birthday, when the mother who abandoned her returns to the pack, bearing secrets that change everything. The biggest secret of all: Jessa is dragon-marked, a designation that places her in grave danger.

Story
In Minatsol, being a dweller means that you are literally no better than dirt. In fact, dirt might actually be more useful than Willa. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods. At least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won't ever be forced to present herself to them... Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world - a position that she definitely did not earn.

I run with my own pack - my four demon wolves and the two friends I would kill to protect. We might be the rejected shifters of the Vegas supernaturals, different and unwanted, but our pack is strong. Feared. Think of us as your local supernatural vigilantes. With my demon wolves secretly watching our backs, we’re unstoppable. Until the night the first rune appears on the streets. A rune that hasn’t been seen for hundreds of years, sending the Vegas supernaturals into a tailspin.

They rule my new town, my school, and with more money than God, there’s very little out of their reach. Four gorgeous, perfect, scary boys. There used to be five, but one of them died, leaving a fifth position that I now fill. I didn't ask for this. I didn't want to be part of this billionaire-boys-club. But no one cares about what I want. Sebastian Beckett is the worst of them. Their leader. He draws me in, and strips me of every defense I have. He calls me Butterfly, but it's not a pet name, it's a threat.

Story
As a wolf shifter growing up in a strong pack, I should be living my best life. But after my father tried to kill our leader, I’m labelled an outcast, traitor, less than dirt. When I can't take pack life any longer, I run, but apparently they don't like losing their punching bag. Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift...a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

After I challenged the Blood Council's four shifter heirs at a college party, the last thing I expected was to receive a full scholarship and an admittance letter from the exclusive Wolf Moon Academy. Despite never desiring to be an alpha, this was an opportunity of a lifetime...or so I thought. I soon learned that there was more behind my admission to the Academy than my education. I was there to be a lesson to the heirs - in particular, the sexiest and strongest one, Liam Hale.

Story
I always imagined Death's final kiss would be cold. It wasn't. Four years later, I can still remember the exact shade of his skin: a blue so pale it looked like moonlight. I dream of his touch. Mostly, I paint the man under the heavy cowl, including those perfect lips which ruined mine for anyone else. I'm obsessed with him.
Summary
Maddison James is about to discover some truths about the world.
Firstly...supernaturals exist.
WTF?
Secondly...she is one, even though no one seems to know exactly what kind.
Double WTF.
Thirdly...she’s about to go back to school.
Well, things just got a little more interesting.
The Supernatural Academy is where shifters, vampires, magic users, and fey are educated. Where they are taught about their abilities, and how to function in the human world. Maddison already has the human part down, but this supernatural thing is an entirely new dangerous game.
Example one: mean girls who can actually turn you into a frog.
Example two: Asher Lock, a god at the Academy. Not literally...well, who knows for sure. He certainly acts the part, as do all of his minions who worship him.
Asher drives her crazy, because apparently snarly, gorgeous, and arrogant is her thing, and despite their mutual dislike, sparks fly between them. The more they’re thrown together, the more Asher is determined to figure out what’s been blocking her abilities.
Until the moment the truth is revealed, and they find out nothing in this supernatural world is what they thought.
Including each other.

Almost there
The writing was not the best nor the worst, it sounded like someone who was just learning to write novels. However the plot was well thought out and there were lots of interesting details included into the story. I wasn't amazed by the narrator, I feel they need to work on their male voices a bit more.

Supernatural Academy review Albert Anness
A very captivating and detailed story, I love how it felt real and had so much detail and lore behind it. I heard about it through the show adaption and I think the book is much better in my opinion. It had such a convincing world and a wonderful cast of characters that felt real, like ale, well written and relatable. The sex scenes were a bit detailed for me but I have no complaints and I just kept listening till the end. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested particularly in the fantasy genre.

Fantastic!
I loved this book, I was hooked right from the start and hanging on every word. I quickly fell in love with the characters and was soon wrapped up in their world, Maddi was incredibly strong and empathetic, the boys were perfect book boyfriend material, and the mean girls were the kind you love to hate. I can't wait to find out whats next, this series is so addictive, the narration was fantastic and flawless,

It’s... fine
I suspect aging up the characters was a marketing note to make all the shagging more acceptable as otherwise the dynamics feel very high school - uniforms, dances, cliques etc
The narration doesn’t really work, it’s not BAD, but she has strange rhythms and puts the emphasis on the wrong word a lot. The heroine is also quite sweary and this narrator is just not good at swearing.
The story is.... fine? I’m not sure if it’s the lacklustre narration or, despite the fact the heroine claims to plan to keep her distance, everyone bonds SUPER quick, but I didn’t feel very invested. Not really interested in following the series further.

Disappointed
I've listened to some of Jaymin Eve's collaborative books, which are great light entertainment, but within the first hour of listening to this solo venture I could tell there was a severe lack of editing or development. Many, many sentences are illogical or over-explained. For example, the main character is kidnapped in the first scene of the book. When she meets the person that orchestrated it, her reaction is basically, "I guess, in a way, I'm grateful to have my boring life spiced up by this, and I'm not really angry. "
..... Um, what? In no way does that make any sense, and it feels like the author is trying to force the audience to get over an ethical problem because she doesn't want to take the time to actually develop or re-work a plot point.
The author also uses blatant plot devices to explain way, way too much without any action in the first 20 minutes. Those details work better if they are slipped in sparingly. Instead, the imaginary rules are word-vomited out by the captor in a forced and cliché way.
This author does really well when she works with others, so this solo work makes me think she doesn't have the critical early readers that she needs yet. They may piss writers off with their feedback sometimes, but they're soooo valuable. Cannot restate it enough.
Personally, this book is DNF for me.

So disappointed. Love the story, hate the narrator.
I thought I liked the narrator at first! I really did. But after a few chapters, I slowly started to HATE her style of narration. She raises her voice higher in EVERY sentence at the beginning before lowering it slowly over the course of the sentence. So basically, every sentence she says begins with a high pitch and ends with a low pitch. Imagine hearing someone speak that way for EVERY sentence for HOURS on end! I just couldn’t take it anymore after a while. And that’s super disappointing! I really wanted to force myself to deal with it because the story is great. I love supernatural stories like this one! So kudos to the author, but I’m sorry you got stuck with a bad narrator. I usually hate leaving negative reviews, but maybe the narrator will take this information into consideration for her next book and maybe she’ll try to be less “uniform”. Also, one of the male voices she did was just painfully bad. I’m not sure what she was trying to accomplish but it was like she was trying to make his voice sound low and instead, she made it sound like someone doing an impression of a monster voice for a child’s bedtime story.

Good story, but not a Great story
This was an easy listen and I enjoyed the book, but nothing captivated me. Haven't decided if I will read the next book yet or not.
Overall: 3
Fantasy: 5. The book hits the fantasy mark being based in a school for the supernatural.
Romance: 1. I found the romance lacking, I kept finding myself getting excited for potential moments that could happen... and then nothing. There is one sex scene that kinda felt random, and lots of sex talk. I had trouble really getting into the main character couple, it was developed enough for me to really get into. I really wanted her to have more attention with the other male characters, maybe in the next couple of books that will be built out more.
Humor: 2 There are some funny moments and comments in dialogue.
Narrator:3. I enjoyed the female character, but the main male character ASH I could not stand. He sounded like an old professor rather than the sexiest man alive. This was another reason I had trouble believing the romance.
Action: 2. Not a ton of action or suspense. There were 2 or 3 events that occur, but they are not build out enough to feel like "action'.

Good start to a series...minus the porn
I most enjoyed this book thanks to the sassy main character who has a great sense of humor and doesn't take any crap from anyone. There are some good characters and some not so well fleshed out yet. Overall it was a good story with enjoyable enough development to make me want to continue on with the story. The only problem I had was when all of a sudden it went from fantasy novel to full on porn level romance novel at the end of the book. I'm not a prude, but having that come out of nowhere just made me go, huh? Why I am I suddenly getting all of this? Do I need it? No. Do I want it? Not really. I'm not a romance novel kinda person nor do I need explicit listings of everything someone is doing to someone to make them hot. Beyond that, I liked the book. I just hope it doesn't continue being a romance/fantasy type series.
