Summary
The princess isn’t supposed to dethrone the king.
Elsa
He said he’ll destroy me, and he did.
I might have lost the battle, but the war is far from over.
They say it starts with one move to dethrone the king.
No one mentioned he’ll yank me with him on the way down.
Aiden
If Steel’s little princess wants a war, then war it is.
There’s only one rule: my rules or none at all.
By all means, show me what you got, sweetheart.
Steel Princess is book two of Royal Elite series and should be listened to after Deviant King. This is a dark high-school bully romance, mature new adult, and contains dubious situations that some listeners might find offensive.

strangely addictive reading
After feeling like I couldn't get futher than the 1st few chapters of book 1 due to how disgusting the theme was. I became engrossed despite the toxic abusive relationship between Elsa and Adian. I wanted to shake some sense into Elsa so much. But this 2nd installment with Adian POV has fleshed out the story and towards the end you are rooting for them. Really enjoyed the twists and turns of the story and it ended on a great cliffhanger so looking forward to the next book. Loving the other character as well and look forward to seeing the development of them. I will say although duel narration brings a story to life and the male narrator was great I felt the female narrator wasn't as good. There was a lot of punctuation mistakes of simple words and too many Americanisms for it to be totally realistic imo

Unpredictable and quite gripping
I wasn’t in a rush to read the second book as the first one’s cliffhanger didn’t affect me all that much, but the cliffhanger at the end of this one is a different story.
The story was very unpredictable and that is always a good sign. I had no idea what was happening through it and slowly learning about Elsa and Aidens past along with her was a nice touch, especially since it wasn’t just a giant reveal. Apart from most of the “steamy” scenes making me quite uncomfortable not helped by Aiden’s domineering side it was quite enjoyable.
Lastly the only quibble I have with the narration was Stevens pronunciation of some words. As an English person some of the things that she got wrong over and over do start to grate but other than that I give a thumbs up.

Picks up were it left off
Book 2 picks up from exactly where book 1 left off. I loved book 1 but this one has me divided. I was hoping that their relationship would develop into a mutual respect. the sexual in counters made me uncomfortable and sick at the same time. He’s an utter control freak and she’s an utter doormat. I want to yell at her to wise up and stop putting up with his controlling, violent and manipulating behaviour! Let’s hope he redeems himself even a little in book 3.

Steel Princess
Oh boy, does this book take a turn! This books started right where the first left off and took off running with the drama that uncovers so many secrets that my head was spinning. That twist at the end definitely left me wanting to dive right into the next!

What a story!
Dark and dangerous, Rina Kent picks up Steel Princess where we left off in book one. This does not standalone, so make sure to listen to Deviant King first! There are no words for Aiden. Overly protective, jealous beyond normality, taking ownership of what is his, Elsa does not have a chance to think about life without him. But why is he like that? What is there about her that keeps that simmering love/hate relationship going? The twists and turns in this part of the story are mind blowing, for both Aiden and Elsa, and we see a shift in their feelings. It's suspense, and tragedy, power and greed, hate and love all driving their story and the cliffhanger has me queuing up book 3, Twisted Kingdom so I can see how it all plays out. Kent is a master at this manipulative bully genre, and I am loving it!
Shane East and Keira Stevens continue their explosive narration of this couple. It's full of emotions that these two have flowing through the pages. East has that edgy, dark tone for Aiden and Stevens pulls Elsa out with a vulnerability and underlying strength we don't see coming. They are fantastic and I can't wait til the next book!

..... And the plot thickens!
I often find that the middle books in a series can be used or seen as a filler. That's the book where nothing really happens. Luckily, this couldn't be further from the truth with Steel Princess. This second book in the trilogy does most certainly not disappoint! .
The story hits new highs and lows and most importantly: the main characters have their work cut out for them, in order to survive what's coming. What started as "just" bullying has taken a turn for something that's MUCH darker.
One thing is certain: while your brain can be your greatest ally and shield you from unimaginable pain and sorrow, it can also be your worst enemy when you desperately need knowledge you've long since forgotten. And how do you access memories you don't even know you have?

Dark Bully Romance
Steel Princess by Rina Kent is a dark high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Shane East and Keira Stevens. This is the second book in the Royal Elite series and does end on a cliffhanger.
The book does come with a warning “This is a dark high-school bully romance, mature new adult, and contains dubious situations that some listeners might find offensive. “
All I can say is WOW! Rina is an amazing writer. I am fascinated by the pull between Aiden and Elsa. You can’t help but root for them even though you know their relationship is messed up. The cliffhangers are absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to dive into the next book in the series Twisted Kingdom.
Shane and Keira did an amazing job on the narration! I absolutely love duet narration it just brings the story to life.
I would highly recommend this book if you love dark romance or bully romance.

Book 2 of a trilogy
This book builds on the last book (which ended in a cliffhanger). More games, more angst, more intrigue, more suspense. We get closer to finding out more about Elsa's past and Aiden's intent with Elsa. There are a few people who obviously want to hurt Elsa and there's an introduction to new characters. This is the middle book and I feel like it dragged just a tiny bit with the same games over and over again. (I'm surprised at how willing Silver, the mean girl of the school, is to be used). However, that doesn't stop my intense interest in continuing this series. Such an interesting world and characters- really, I'm totally invested in the world.
In the audiobook, Shane East and Keira Stevens narrate and they are AMAZING. So much emotion, so much talent in playing multiple characters and the duet style is so perfect in that it totally immerses the listener (at least that's my opinion!)
I can't wait for the next book!

A MUST READ FOR LOVERS OF DARK BULLY ROMANCE- Binge worthy series!!
This book cut me deep... so so deep... my heart is shredded to a million pieces and bleeding out. This was such a hard read- so much raw and emotions. Rina Kent, you are in a league of your own! I don’t recognise my heart anymore.
𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙄 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙮 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙣? 𝙄𝙛 𝙄 𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬, 𝙄’𝙡𝙡 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝.
In Steel Princess, we saw Aiden sew-saw from brutally cruel and over protective. Gahhhh.... my freaking heart is broken, torn, bleeding out!!!
But it was Elsa- this girl- my every emotion was taken to a blender- and I was there in the moment with her. Every. Single. Heart-wrenching. Moment!
It was all too much as the plot unfolded and just when I thought I had it all figured out Rina Kent hit me with a curveball and another— and a-freaking-nother!!!
And holy bejesus- did I mention how freaking hot this book is? It is scorching, depraved and the stiff dark fantasies are made off. Aiden and Elsa are FIRE!!!
I’m beyond intrigued with Xander and Kim, and Cole and Silver (okay, time I still I can’t feel anything but unbridled hate for her! Ughh!!) and Ronan, oh my swoony heart! Can someone love on this guy already??!! And, Knox- WTH!! Can we have more of him!! I freaking love this guy- but know he has a deeper part in this story and what’s to come!! I’m on the edge, and continuing my all out binge!!
** this book is a dark bully romance that some readers may not feel comfortable reading and may have triggers- it was hard for me even when I wanted to stop but I cannot give this book anything less than the 5 Steel crowns it deserves!
A MUST READ FOR LOVERS OF DARK BULLY ROMANCE- Binge worthy series!!
The narrarors really fit this story and brought so much life to this story!
5 STEEL CROWNS
