About this listen
After I suddenly lose my husband, Patrick, in a senseless shooting, I’m lost in a sea of well-meaning people trying to make the unimaginable seem possible. How am I supposed to go on without the man who's been at the center of my life for nearly a decade? My friends and family do what they can for me, but I quickly realize that surviving this loss is going to be on me. One day to the next, I have to make the decision to go on, but life isn’t done throwing me ringers, and just when I think I’ve got this young-widow game figured out, I find out how wrong I am.
When a friend of my sister’s connects me to the Wild Widows, I find a group of fellow travelers who understand my new reality in a way no one else in my life ever could. The Wild Widows have one requirement for membership to their group: I must be open to the possibility of a "Chapter Two", which is what they call a second chance at love. While I’m not in any way looking for or ready for a Chapter Two, if I’ve learned anything, it’s that I’m not in control of where this journey will take me.
Come along as Roni and the other Wild Widows navigate their new realities with grace, humor, and compassion. They will make you laugh and cry and root for each and every one of them in this exciting, heartfelt new series.

Fabulus start to another grate series.
I've read a couple of previous series by this author and enjoyed everything i've read so far. This however was one of my favourites so far and looking forward to the rest of the books.
This series is based on a group of people who have been widdowed and are part of a club called the wild widdows. This is a cross over from the Faital series and first family series. I personally have not read those series as of yet however there on a list of future buying options. I believe some of the characters in this have featured in those series. I did not feel i'd missed anything by not reading that series so although there is cross over I think these can be read without reading those.
The first book is based on Ronnie Connaly who is first featured in faital book 14. she's struggling after the los of her husband Patric from a stray bullet while he was shopping for them. Her sister tells her about a club a friend has told her about called the wild widdows however one specification of joining the group is you have to be open to one day finding a chapter 2 and creating a new life with someone else. As she starts making friends with the group and getting close to one member in particular she starts to enjoy life again.
Each book is based on a widdow or widdows depending on the person they end up with as it is a big group I get the feeling this will be quite a long series. There are 4 books so far and I can't wait to read Iris and Gages story yet. Loved Iris as a character as much as Derrick and Ronnie. I'm looking forward to reading the current and future books in the series and watching all these widdows hopefully get a second chance.
