About this listen

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between and depends entirely upon whom you ask....

With their friendship in tatters after a series of betrayals, Gotrek and Felix march south at the head of a ragtag army, intent upon driving the forces of Chaos out of the Empire and returning Felix to his wife. But Gotrek's doom is at hand, and great powers are at work to ensure that he meets it. With enemies on all sides and destiny calling, Felix must make a choice: to follow Gotrek into the darkness that awaits him or to abandon his oldest friend once and for all.

This is the final adventure of Gotrek and Felix. All is revealed as Gotrek meets his doom and Felix's fate is sealed. The story contains the ultimate showdown between the comrades and their greatest foe ever, Be'lakor. The battle is like nothing you've seen before, taking them from the forests of the Empire into the air and to the very Realm of Chaos.

For all the criticism levelled at the End Times and their senseless de-mystification of the Old World, Gotrek & Felix, at least, had an ending worthy of their epic adventures. I'll miss these two dearly.

I know Gotrek lives on in the Mortal Realms now, but that setting is not for me and Gotrek is only half as interesting without Felix, so I'll pass.

I like many others passed the end times by as it was unexpected and quite frankly unwanted. that's not to say it was not necessary. revisiting this time in the old world now has been more enjoyable than I could have imagined.
my journey with gotrek and Felix goes back to my first copy of trollslayer I bought by William king to this epic by David. like all good storys they must have an end and I know gotrek has continued in the age of sigmar setting but this was an end in its own way.
incredible writing and outstanding narrative.
dark, grim, real, quite sad with only the smallest amount of humour honestly quite fitting for the end

fantastic storytelling

This saga in its entirety is a work of epic proportions, I'm not sure I've listened or indeed read of such honour, brilliance and adventure,
I'd highly recommend it in all aspects, it holds tales as would befit something more than that of an ultimate hero,
I honestly can't say how much this series meant to me regardless of the fact three of the books were missing from audible it was still the ultimate in adventure.
listen enraptured for this is the tale of the last slayer.

such a beautiful epic

loved it. I actually listened to some of the Age of Sigmar Gotrek books while waiting for all of these to come out, and it didn't spoil anything, but it's great to have the blanks filled in and find out how Gotrek left the Old World. I think the great thing about Gotrek and Felox is how they do great deeds but it's often on the periphery of a main story - they affect the outcome and then wander off to kill something else. This one ramped up the stakes and put them a bit more front and centre, although you are aware that there are plenty of other End Times stories going on. It tied together some earlier story threads very nicely. Great story, tragic and heroic and sad. Great performance as always by Johnathan Keeble.

wow, great ending (until it started again!)

The entire story kept me entranced from start to FINISH. The voice actor conveyed the emotions of the characters perfectly
