Summary

I’d lived a privileged life, in the lap of luxury and surrounded by family. It had felt like I was on top of the world...until tragedy struck.

My sense of loss felt bottomless, and I struggled with it every single day. Finding my path back into the light seemed impossible.

But then I met Faith - she was smart, sexy, and out of my league even though she didn’t have a penny to her name. We grew up in different worlds, but somehow we fit perfectly together.

Except neither of us had counted on learning that our connection was more profound than we knew.

Serenity is the conclusion to Dillon and Faith's story, which began in Fortuity.

Great Listen

This book gives you all the feels, when you think you know, bam she flips the script. Dillon realizes that his parents lied to him about his brother's death but not the extent of it. He learns that no matter the issue, he needs Faith in his life but what he learns about the secrets his parents are keeping can destroy his foundation. Good ending.

I was not prepared! So much emotion!

This story utterly wrecked me. Narrated primarily by Jason Clarke, the emotion dripped off each word. I couldn't sleep I just had to keep listening. Mackenzie Cartwright was great reprising her role as Faith. This part of the story was less driven by attraction and lust and more driven by love. Coming off a stunning cliff hanger in Fortuity, Serenity deals with emotion and coping of loss an moving on. I love how Rochelle Paige addressed grief and grieving in this book. Lots of surprises and secrets. it takes a special author to build so much into a relatively short book and do it this well.

Amazing duet

Wow, this duet is amazing. Full of emotion, poignant and beautifully written and narrated. I really enjoyed the book and experienced so many emotions- Happiness, pride (for Faith and Dillon for their ability to rise above their pasts), shock, anger. But finally, happiness again because of the HEA that came after so many sacrifices. Of course, as this is the second book in the duet, Fortuity should be read first. Together, this is a wonderfully emotional book and I'm so happy i had the opportunity to listen to this.

Mackenzie Cartwright and Jason Clarke are some of the best narrators around so I expected a lot from this reading, especially since the last book was so beautifully narrated. They did as expected. They elevated this story and did such a great job really highlighting the emotions that the characters experienced during this journey.

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!

This is the second part of Rochelle Paige’s “Fortuity Duet” and I loved it just as much as I loved the first book. This is a continuation of Faith and Dillon’s story and what a wonderful story it is. Be sure to read or listen to the first book “Fortuity” before this one because it picks up where that one left off. Faith learned something, something she needs to share with Dillon but she is afraid it may change the way things are for her, Dillon and his family. Dillon struggles with the info, he turns to old habits and Faith is distraught. In the first book we learned more about Faith’s past and what brought her to where she was, in this book we learn more of Dillon’s journey. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the heartfelt moments the heartbreaking ones and how they come out of it after all is revealed. Rochelle Paige is a gifted author, she did an amazing job plotting out the stories, she included and presented real life issues in this duet and handled them all greatly. I loved that she brought light to them and kept it real. I was very happy wither where she took Faith and Dillon in the end, they both deserve an HEA. Rochelle Paige, I thank you for this wonderful duet.

Mackenzie Cartwright and Jason Clarke are talented narrators and voice artists. They continue to do an amazing job portraying the characters, bringing them to life and humanizing them. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture and project the characters emotions as well as the drama of the story into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

What an ending!

Book two is of this duet packs an emotional journey like no other. Secrets are revealed and relationships questioned. Dillon and Faith find out the connection of their past and now have to decide if their love is real. Dillon’s parents reveal truths and Dillon is dealing with so much, life is spinning out of control. Will these two find a way back to each other? What ramifications will be felt? I was surprised, felt compassion for all and loved the way Rochelle Paige weaved it all together.

Narration continued by Mackenzie Cartwright and Jason Clarke pull it all together with their fantastic storytelling. Emotionally charged, each let us in and had us completely invested in the outcome of their characters. Their performance truly enhanced the story and were a perfect fit for Faith and Dillon.
