Christians often focus so much on being loving and giving that they forget their own limits and limitations. Have you ever found yourself wondering: Can I set limits and still be a loving person? Story
While literacy is taken for granted in modern society, there’s another essential aspect of communication that is often overlooked: social intelligence. Without it, our personal and professional relationships suffer shallowness and often fizzle out. Networking, romance, and friendships are all incredibly challenging without a healthy level of social awareness. Unlike learning to read, however, many of us don’t become socially “literate” until far later in life; and even then, the journey towards true social intelligence is usually characterized by trial and error.

If you’re like most people, saying no probably makes you feel uncomfortable. Eventually, you will feel overwhelmed by all the things you said yes to but didn’t really want to do. This can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety, ruined relationships, a lack of identity, and burnout. All of these could have been avoided if you had just said no. But that’s easier said than done, especially since there are emotions and social expectations involved in all our interactions.

Self-awareness and empowerment
This book opened my mind to things I never knew because I was too busy to notice. I now understand why it's always been difficult for me to say No especially to my co-workers who need help. Now that I have the know-how and the self-assurance, I feel a lot of positive changes are coming my way. This book is very helpful to anyone feeling like a horrible person when saying no to someone. It inspired me to take action to make my life better. A No to someone is definitely a Yes to me - this is my mantra from now on.

Very useful
I found this book really helpful with the situations that need a “No” and the strategies to say No. There are a lot of times where I struggle to refuse. I hardly say No to anyone. Because of this, I created a lot of problems for myself. Saying Yes to almost everything can cause burn out in the end.
I am good at juggling tasks but this time, I’d like to give more value to the things that really make me happy. I am going to use what I learned from this book to gradually say No to save myself.

Well-written and very informative
The author did wonderful work. The delivery is direct and logical. He applies his logic to everyday scenarios instead of just telling you what you should do. He clearly identifies some ethical issues that people face when trying to say No.
When you listen to this book, you will discover the main points, relate to plenty of examples, and learn from the simple application of the principles. It’s a very good and organized way of presenting a number of approaches to say No.
If you have any problems when it comes to being assertive or expressing your true feelings, this can be a very helpful book.

I loved this audiobook. It’s exactly what I needed at this point in my life. Because of the pandemic, I had so many epiphanies about what I’m doing with my life and what I should do to make it better. I realized that life is short and we should make the most out of it. Spending time on what matters most is very important. While I’m stuck at home, I’ve read many books about life improvement and this is one audiobook that I really admire.

Yes, but.. no, thank you...
This narration became to monotone and robotic to me.
I'v lost it into the second chapter, so i can't give a full review, but i presume the book continued the same style trough out the rest of the chapters.. yes, no, maby? Whatever..
I start with a harsh but polite "no" to this book...
But hey, maby this is the most effective self-help book ever, after all..
I learned to say no, in just two chapters!
YES! ...NO, is the answer.

Excellent audiobook on being more productive
I learned a lot from the information in it. Some of my favorite takeaways were that by not learning to say no, I am giving away my time and, therefore, my life. We cannot focus on life's essential things when we say yes to other people's concerns.
All in all, I give this audiobook five stars and will recommend it to my colleagues. Grab this audiobook if you want to take your productivity to the next level.

Can’t believe how well this book handled this subject! Every single chapter benefitted me somehow. For me, the most impressive part of the book was that it breaks down all the areas needing improvement and correction.
It’s not too general, unlike other books. It has real advice and it explains information and problems specifically.
The author clearly understands the struggles of a people pleaser. There is so much information in this book that I plan to purchase the paperback so I can easily access the strategies and empowering quotes.

Worth the wait
For the past months, I’ve spent listening to books that I thought would address my issues about people-pleasing.
It took me three books until I discovered Saying No (Thank you). How I wish I found this sooner.
This is the book that spoke to my personality exactly. It resonated with my struggles mentally and physically. It freed me from the chains of living as a doormat and brought out my true self that I’ve been sharing with only those who were very close to me. It really did change my life. I’ll never need another self-help book to deal with this topic again. Now it’s just a question of applying everything I’ve learned!

Godsend!
I used to be very timid. I would feel anxious about what people would think of me, so I thought being a people pleaser would make them like me. Sadly, it turned out it isn’t what they were drawn to. Trying to please people by dedicating my time in accommodating them made me stressed and unhappy. I wasn’t entirely sure what was wrong, but one day, I stumbled upon this book on Amazon and I’m pretty sure God had sent this to me. This book is powerful. I am now more confident, relaxed, and I am able to have great relationships with people. I wouldn’t have gotten to this point in my life if it weren’t for this book.

The narrator is also fantastic, I caught myself clinging to every word he said because he speaks like he is talking to you. Like he’s right there with you.
He emphasizes words flawlessly and his speed is just right. If you want to do something huge in your life, this book will definitely help you achieve it. I highly recommend this.

Deserves a 10!
Exceeded my expectations! This book has a great concept. It is useful for anyone, especially if you are the type that gives too much of your time or service. Being too nice to people may cause others to take advantage of you or if someone is very close to you, it may make the person dependent on you. It’s not healthy for both of you if this treatment continues, so it’s important to have clear boundaries.
This book will teach you how to say No to people in a way that won’t hurt their feelings and on your part, you won’t feel guilty.
It is informative and easy to understand. Top marks!
