From the New York Times best seller Dima Zales comes an addictive urban fantasy saga with impossible creatures, biting humor, and edge-of-your-seat action. Join psychic Sasha Urban and her superpowered friends as they fight to save not only New York City, but the alternate dimensions they discover along the way.

For a limited time, get all seven full-length novels in one convenient, discounted bundle.

Book 1: The Girl Who Sees

I'm an illusionist, not a psychic.

Going on TV is supposed to advance my career, but things go wrong.

Like vampires and zombies kind of wrong.

My name is Sasha Urban, and this is how I learned what I am.

Book 2: Misfortune Teller

So, I’m a seer. A Cognizant under the Mandate.

Life should be easy now, right?

Wrong.

With all the “accidents” that keep befalling me, I’ll be lucky to survive the week. That is, if my crazy boss doesn’t work me to death first....

Book 3: Reluctant Psychic

Life as a seer is not all it’s cracked up to be. Especially when you’re unemployed, and your former boss blacklists you everywhere.

Or when a legendary Russian witch calls in a favor owed, demanding the unthinkable.

When danger threatens everyone around me, there’s only one man I can turn to - and he may not be what he seems.

Book 4: Sleight of Fantasy

My deal with Nero and my growing powers are supposed to keep me and my loved ones safe - yet, the unthinkable happens.

When lines are crossed and blood is spilled, nothing will ever be the same again.

Book 5: Paranormal Misdirection

With my seer powers finally under my control, I'm ready to plunge into the unknown to find my father.

He may have abandoned me, but I’ll go to the ends of the Otherlands to save him from his torment.

Only problem? With unexpected allies and even more surprising enemies, this rescue mission might be more than I bargained for.

Book 6: Prophecy of Magic

Find my long-lost birth parents? Check.

Kiss the man I've been crushing on for years? Check.

Finally kick back and enjoy my happy ending? Yeah, no such luck.

With literal demons out to kill me and my loved ones in trouble, I'm starting to wonder if I'll make it out of this one alive....

Book 7: Smoke, Vampires, & Mirrors

I found my family, I found my heart, I found myself.

But it’s not over.

No matter how many allies I have, there's no escaping destiny.

The end of the world is coming, and I'm the only one who can stop it.

Brilliant would listen again

Great world and character building though main character is a little slow on the uptake. Author included odd mid paragraph chapter endings - probably to create artificial cliff hangers. Was quite annoying but not enough to spoil my enjoyment of the book overall. Great narrator- could distinguish between characters. Will look out for more from the author.

Mesmerizing!

This amazing huge boxed set includes the entire Sasha Urban Series, an Urban Fantasy series. Sasha is such a wonderful character. Nero is handsome, protective, and enigmatic. I loved Sasha's friends. The cast of supporting characters is impressive. The whole Series is captivating, intricate, and enthralling. There is a lot going on in this Series. You can expect zombies, vampires, demons, dragons, and a lot of action, suspense, mystery, danger, humor, romance, and many twists and turns! Never a dull moment in Sasha adventures! The world building is original, complex, and mesmerizing. It was fun to shortly see Bailey, from the Bailey Spade Series, the spin-off to Sasha Urban Series. Emily Durante did a fantastic job with the narration. If you like Urban Fantasy, this boxed set is definitely for you. I enjoyed it.

Author's hang-ups ruin story

The story line was pretty good, except the author's fixation on sex. The constant barrage of innuendo and "sexcapades" detracted from the story as it truly didn't add any value to the story line. I mean, when you have characters changing into animals so that they can have sex with said animal, it becomes overkill. Also, I was incredibly tired of hearing about limbal rings as it seemed the author had to mention them at least once a chapter. Other than that, it was a good storyline in which the protagonist finds herself as she overcome a myriad of obstacles. It's a shame I couldn't recommend this book due to the author's fixations.

Why all the positive reviews?

I got this because of the reviews as well as the box set. I'm very disappointed. The MC is an idiot. She wanted to be an illusionist/magician since childhood. She supposedly has done mega reasearch on magic and related subjects. One area is predictive which includes ESP, etc. So if she did the research how can she not suspect (even if she disbelieves) she's experincing actual predictions. MC is practicly hand walked throughout book one. Then that totally dictatorial system to keep paranormals secret is dumb. I can't believe they haven't had a revolt. If it weren't for the sex this could be a YA. I I maynot complete remaining books.

Great Guilty pleasure read!

Honestly I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this book and it left me pleasantly surprised.

The story is pretty predictable the whole way through but the way it's put together somehow makes it work and the breakneck pacing makes everything flow in a way most books like this struggle with. Sometimes it reads like a urban fantasy sometimes it's more like a fantasy romance which can make some moments odd and a bit awkward but they're never boring.

Emily Durante did an excellent job narrating, I saw alot of reviews that called her boring and monotone and I can honestly say they're full of crap. She did a great job breathing life into this series and I always knew which character was talking based on her voice and inflection.

5 Stars will read again.

Great story with many logical inconsistencies

Dima Zales is great at writing dialogue , humor, and comic book hero references type stories. The only problem I had was with her throwing a round of physics concepts that she doesn’t understand and mathematical concepts that she doesn’t understand here’s an easy example bunch of shit in our friends try to get in an elevator and if it even though she says is it contradicts the laws of physics. Now this is a silly statement in the first place because what law of physics is she referring to? And the really big problem is that it’s not physics it’s geometry there’s nothing about the laws of physics that prevents overly large shapes fitting into a square. Another example in the finale battle she’s punched by evil villain with so much force she flies backwards towards a wall but she says she turns on her hovering ability to counteract this force does she not know there is always an equal and opposite reaction to every action? This she must continue continue in the direction of the wall with the force which she has been hit. Unless she has a rocket powered boots on that appear when she hovers hovering will not change anything except to razor up a little bit possibly in the trajectory the force will remain the same. I think the author should start throwing around the lien law of physics. Until she may have studied some of the laws of physics. Also Sasha pictures the acti of being a visionary as going into a place called “headspace” this space resembles nothing so much is it resembles hypertext in the world of computers. Which is basically what Windows is excepting her version there are triangle circles and squares she can “click“ on she doesn’t Call it clicking she calls it and extending her metaphysical wisp to grasp onto them but is clicking. Another thing is that she keeps talking about how when she’s in a vision she would laugh if she had a mouth but she’s just floating there without anything no body no nothing that’s because visions occur in the brain. Your brain can sense every part of your body without it actually being there as in a dream that there is no metaphysical problem with that. And she keeps saying it over and over again in every vision if I had a body it would feel this if I had ahead and do this etc. it was irritating to my hyper logical and super rational brainy brain to read through this book and hear these things over and over.

But I really enjoyed the book because it’s funny and the way she interacts with her friends is funny and s all the ripoffs and references from comic books and old video games , arguing with Felix about whether his suit is Batman or Iron Man I was disappointed that he called it Gollum 2 instead of Iron Man. It was very amusing.

The one thing about the book that bother me is it I don’t appreciate a bunch of really hot sex scenes in the middle of a fantasy action book. I skipped over her sex scenes because I do not want to get horny when I’m reading an action book if I wanted to get horny I’d read some erotica for example. She calls her dildo David Copperfield and she never talks about washing it which also bothered me. Also, once when she on the back of her Dragon friend and says she soiled her underwear. My brain skipped at that point and reviewed back but she never went to the bathroom until this one time ?she had really been saving it up!Which made me wonder why she was wearing underwear since she was coming from the dragon world where they were naked all the time well admittedly she was not naked all the time the dragons were but she was having a lot of wild sex in the woods in I would expect them to be lost by then and I didn’t like the references to soiling ones underwear or pulling up ones big girl panties. This admittedly Is probably due to my own psychological problems and not the books.

I would love to list every logical inconsistency throughout the whole series but it would become quite a boring review if I did so. While I was listening to the book I could not resist noting each one and any grammatical errors. Perhaps the author should call me and ask me to edit her next book.

Note I apologize for any grammatical errors or typos in this review. I am disabled and I am dictating on lousy Apple SE3.

I want to like this story, I really do. But...

I really want to like this book, especially since Zales other works are really good both as romance and sci-fi. However the main character for this one is just...... completely SOD breaking. She does not control her life, and people are constantly trying to control her life through very unbelievable means are right there and doing so openly! Yet she does not see them, believes them when they tell her to her face they are not, barly tries to reach out, and even madly falls in love with one for no reason, gets treated like an object by them, have her 'crushs' 'morals' and actions seriously defended by people close to her, and very minimal suspicion about this at all.

And Sasha does this over and over again for chapter after chapter! Her life and story is controlled by outside forces so much that I think the author is just... arrhg. Be prepared to be told through Sasha how you should feel and believe, and that you should just enjoy the story no matter how much the WRONGNESS sticks in your rear!

Wrote this at 30h 55min into the omnibus. Almost halfway through exactly. And on 3rd attempt to finish.

Edit after finishing; Ok, she does get more control over her fate by the end, and becomes treated like her lovers equal eventually, which makes the last book really good. It's a very frustrating journey ,but the ending is really good, and I am going to miss this universe!

Don't waste your time.

I tried to force myself to finish this series, but just couldn't. The main character, Sasha, is self centered, childish and never learns from her mistakes. The book as a whole is unbelievably predictable. So full of clichés I got a headache from rolling my eyes.
Save your money, credits and time.

liked the story, Hated the way it was written!

if you removed all the sexual innuendo, there'd only be 2 or 3 books in this series. it wasn't too bad in the first book, but from the second book on all you hear is references to sex. you'd think the author was a hormonal teenager on her way to becoming a sex addict.
this story would have been great if it had been written by a mature, intelligent adult who could write without needing to use sexual frustrations as a hook. the narrator was okay, but she didn't have much to go on.
I skipped much of the reading, trying to find places where sex wasn't the topic. as I said, I liked the idea of the story, too bad it was written by this author. I won't be listening to any more of her books.
