The first three books in the Mind Dimensions series from a New York Times and USA Today best-selling author.
The Thought Readers (Mind Dimensions, Book 1) Darren's had it easy his whole life. Finishing Harvard at 18 and landing a lucrative job on Wall Street at 21 - all things are possible when you can cheat by stepping outside of time. Thanks to his ability, he's a know-it-all, but what he doesn't know is how he's able to do what he does. That's until he meets Mira and discovers her dangerous, hidden world.
The Time Stopper (Mind Dimensions prequel) Mira can stop time, but she can't change anything. After her parents are murdered, she'll do anything to get revenge - even take on the Russian mob.
The Thought Pushers (Mind Dimensions, Book 2) Darren's life turned upside down when he met Mira. Now, as he races to uncover his own identity, he confronts new enemies - and realizes his unique powers might extend further than he ever imagined....

A great entry into this series
Plenty of people have already reviewed this book and the series favorably - they are not wrong, its a great, well written listen with excellent, clear narration. There's plenty of action and the story line keeps you wanting to know more about how it all works. Go to your own quiet and you're there with them.
Are there people out there who have these powers?

Edge of the seat thriller.
The premise of being able to 'split into the mind dimension' is genius. The story is a real emotional roller-coaster ride. The 'special powers' aspect is sensitively used and not over done.
The narrator, Roberto Scarlato, is absolutely superb. I'll definitely be looking out for more of his work. Laura Jennings was ok, but doesn't feature much.
I was enthralled from start to finish and highly recommend this book to all.

Mediocre
Perhaps if the reader had been able to read more than four or five words without needing to pause, this may have been more enjoyable. The jerky stops provide punctuation that does not exist and makes for some jerky sentences that lurch rather than flow.
The story has good bones but indifferent flesh. No real depth.

By chapter 3, I wanted to headbutt a pencil!
This may well be a great story, with humour, intrigue, excitement & disbelief. However the Narrator read it like he was reading for teacher. There was no excitement, no quirkiness, no want to keep breathing!! I am amazed that this got released with this dull, tedious guy attempting to read this.
I am hoping that I can swap these books for something more exciting like a 12hr lecture on dust particals.
It's my own fault, I have been listening to R. C Bray & Ray Porter, now those guys are AMAZING. I am going to need a book Narrated by one of those two to help get me through this gloom that I am experiencing after the LONG, dull chapters of this/these book(s).
All I want to know is how the hell did anyone get through all 3 of these books... W O W . . .
