Summary

"Snowed in rocker makes unplanned baby with saucy waitress. News at 11."

I could see the tabloids now. Yeah, I play guitar and sing occasionally. But my main role is as a producer for other musicians. That's why I came to Crescent Cove - to help rock star Kellan McGuire with his first solo project. Not to get stuck in a surprise snowstorm with a smart, funny lass with big brown eyes, and a very flexible...body.

The next night, I was on a flight back to LA. I returned to town months later to help Kellan. Right. And to lose myself in Ivy again and again, even when the cops tried to thwart us. (They only temporarily succeeded.)

The next time I come back, ready to fight for my woman, Ivy has a swollen belly. I’ve spent my life running, and second chances come at a price. But I won’t give up until I’ve made her mine. Forever.

Her and our baby.

Author's Note: Surprise! Producer Rory Ferguson is the first character to cross over from our Oblivion World...but he isn't the last! He doesn't start out as a daddy, but his unexpected baby with Ivy will be his biggest production yet.

Author's note part deux: Rockstar Baby is a romantic comedy with a HEA and no cliffhanger.

Wen with an Irish accent!!

This book has a lovely storyline. It’s a sweet romance with great characters. Fantastic performance from both Kai and Wen, but an extra mention to Wen on the Irish accent throughout.

Fun crossover romance

Wen Ross with a light Irish accent? Heck yes!! The audiobook was fantastic, as expected given that Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott are the narrators. Again, performed as a duet, it was beautifully done with excellent pacing and did I mention the accent? He also navigated multiple accents perfectly. It was a pleasure to listen to them.

I’ve read the book as well as listened to the audiobook. The hero, Rory, is a character in other books from the authors, Taryn Quinn. I never read those books but this book definitely whet my appetite to learn more about Rory! While trying to meet and collaborate with one of his performers, he gets stuck in a snow storm. He stops at a diner and meets Ivy. They have a one night stand and continue to meet once in a while but Rory was against relationships. So a lot of their relationship is on/off. Until, of course, the baby. Crescent Cove strikes again!

As typical of Taryn Quinn books, the banter is off the charts fun. Ivy is a fun, strong character and Rory, even with his inability to commit, was sweet. I really liked seeing the different characters, especially those from Crescent Cove but it was great to meet some from their Rockstar series. This book felt like it moved a little more slowly than the others- I don’t know if it’s longer or just slower. All the characters were sweet, fun and I look forward to future books in this series!

My Thoughts on Rockstar Baby

I thoroughly enjoyed this grumpy sunshine romance featuring a grumpy music producer and a positive ray of sunshine waitress/ice cream maker. From the way the two main characters met, to the very end when the final happy moments happened this story held my attention. Not only did I like the main characters, but being back in Crescent Cove was great. Taryn Quinn have created this great world centered around a town with such great people that you look forward to hearing more about them in future books and want to keep coming back for more. And I whole heartedly agree there is something in the water of this town.
The narrators for this one, Kai and Wen, have voiced the previous books of the series as well and never fail to hit it out of the park every time I hear them. This book was no exception.
