About this listen
One of the greatest challenges facing Christians today is the powerful influence of secular thinking. From all directions we're fed a constant barrage of persuasive - yet unbiblical - worldviews. This makes it difficult to know where to stand on today's most talked-about issues.
The leadership team at Grace Community Church, along with their pastor, John MacArthur, provide much-needed discernment and clarity in the midst of rampant confusion. Using the Bible as the foundation, you'll learn how to develop a Christian perspective on key issues, including:
- Political activism
- Environmentalism
- The cult of celebrity
- Entertainment and escapism
- Homosexual marriage
- Abortion, birth control, and surrogacy
- Euthanasia and suicide
- Disasters and epidemics
- Immigration
- And God and the problem of evil
Also included is a topical reference guide of Bible verses that address key concerns - a guide that will arm you with right thinking and biblical answers to challenging questions.

A great summary of Christian response to our world
This book felt like many books rolled into one. It covers a range of subjects that Christians face in this world and provides a biblical perspective on real and potential scenarios. It provides answers to difficult questions of life from the bible.
There is no doubt that other books out there cover each subject more in depth, this however does not take away from the usefulness of this book. In fact, I appreciate the brevity of each author on each subject. A great read for the modern Christian and Christians of all ages.
My only criticism is that the Audible chapters do not correspond to the actual chapters of the book. It can be a bit annoying. It seems the Audible chapters were based on each sections and headings. It would have been fantastic if the Audible chapters were named accordingly so that you can find things faster.

A culturally hard read we all need to hear
This book covers all the topics we Christians find difficult to discuss in our every day lives. Although often from an American perspective, it is globally accurate. If you want to think deeper and have the harder conversations, read this book.

this book covers many aspects of life and gives the practical approach required. Also covers the understanding of several contentious issues faced in today's world. I loved it all the way.

An interesting listen
As a Christian I think our views should be challenged on all sorts of topics and we should make up our own mind and establish our own positions rather than be dictated to by an particular church or minister. Whilst I don’t agree with the position taken on some of the subjects discussed, it has been useful to challenge my views.
