About this listen

Thirty floors of nightmare fueled action. An ex-cop with nothing left to lose.

After losing his job and family, Flint Reed finds himself in the middle of a terrorist attack. With nothing but his wits and experience as a former Union police officer, he must do everything he can to stay alive.

As he soon discovers, however, there are also hostages, and no one is coming to save them.

All hope falls to Flint.

But as he fights to navigate the building, the real answers begin to unravel. What are the terrorists really after, and why are they so intent on getting into the vault?

Experience the beginning of the Resonant Son series. If you're a fan of Die Hard, Renegade Star, or the Last Reaper, you'll love this epic sci-fi thrill ride.

Really enjoyed it

But have no damn clue what the end was about. Doesn’t appear to make any sense to the main story

Mark Boyett does it again with his characters and voices. the effort and enthusiasm he puts into his characters, he's one of the best out there in my opinion. love listening to books he reads.

An explosive action packed story

I can see why others may have compared this to Die Hard but the fact that you have villains, a gritty hero, and a high rise building is about where the comparison finishes. This book leaves Die Hard in the dust. The hero has depth that grows over the book, the story has some great twists and turns, unpredictable elements such as characters and their motivations, and ultimately leaves you wanting more of what the books delivers. Definitely worth listening to.

Action Packed

This did remind me of die hard but that's no bad thing, a good story with plenty of action, I recommend.

Phenomenal

Not my usual cup of tea however I was pleasantly impressed with the story brought to life by the excellent narration. Well done to everyone involved.

Was better at the end.

Start was too close to Die Hard for my comfort, but transformed it"s own story from the half way. Will listen the next book too for sure.

Die Hard, in space but with a bit more depth

I really enjoyed this, the reading was excellent and the back stories fleshed out enough to be relevant.

Looking fiat's to the next book.

GRUESOME YET ENJOYABLE FIREARM FANTASY

YES, DEFINITELY REMINISCENT OF "DIE HARD" INCLUDING BADDIES ACCENT., THERER ARE A FEW PLOT TWISTS THAT MAKES IT AN INTERESTING LISTEN ALBEIT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IS JUST ENOUGH TO MATCH GENRE.
