Duet narration

Second chance romance of high school sweethearts 15 yrs later, told in past and present alternating chapters, firefighter hero.

Great duet narration. I loved Zachary Webber, Lacy Laurel's was just okay but the duet style made up for it.

Second chance romance

Sloan & Carson
I enjoyed this story and it’s characters. A big twist that I was not expecting but I loved. Not a ton of angst. HEA. The narration was great! I recommend this book.

Nice second-chance romance and a good audio duet

To be honest, I went for this book due to Zachary Webber’s participation in the audio. The author is new to me and I didn’t know the other narrator. But I saw it was a second-chance romance and besides, it was read in duet and I love such audios, so it was a double win for me. I had to listen.

The story was cute, sweet and sexy with a touch of emotions and drama here and there. Plotwise it was kind of predictable for the most part but it managed to surprise me a time or two. It was good for in-between books – not overly dramatic and a nice second chance romance and all in all a heartfelt story.

Zachary Webber was his awesome self as usual and nailed the character, putting so much emotion to his performance. I loved his act and it was good to hear him in duet although the female narrator Lacy Laurel sounded a bit off for me. It wasn’t bad per se, but I couldn’t get used to her way of pronunciation and her voice in general. I enjoyed the duet performance though.

The beginning was a bit slow and I couldn’t feel this insta love from the past and the feelings they still shared after all these years, but little by little some things started to unravel and the story got more dynamic. To be honest I loved the final part of this book the most with all the action, unexpected events and intense moments. Good ending.

This was a nice second chance romance with a good duet performance in audio

Carson and Sloan

I enjoy second chance romances. And I love these narrators. So, wanting to listen to this book was a given. I was not disappointed. I got so invested in the story that I was talking to the characters like they were in front of me (yelling really). Carson and Dlian have their ups and downs and I enjoyed their journey. Great story.

An interesting mixed bag

I liked this story a lot, and there were a few plot twists that surprised me and kept it interesting, but it took a long time to get going. Were it not for the 5 star ratings and reviews of others insisting that it was great, I likely would have abandoned it, but I’m so glad I stuck it out, and you will be, too. Zachary Webber’s narration is perfection, as always, and he gets 5 stars. This was my first exposure to Lacy Laurel, and her narration lowers the overall performance score due to a number of issues, such as mispronunciation of common words (libary, flustrated) and poor enunciation in some key passages. Others have scored her highly, so it may just be a personal preference of mine, and I’d hate for anyone to miss out on the story as a result. I would encourage anyone considering this book to listen to the sample first.

3.5 Second Chance Stars

I have so many mixed feelings regarding this story. I love second chance romance, and I loved the premise behind this story. However, I didn’t always like the characters, I wasn’t happy with some of their decisions or how they handled things (and I’m not talking about their decisions as teenagers), I’m talking about their decisions as adults and how they handled life going forward. They have a complicated past, and if they ever have a future together I felt that they needed to be more mature and open going forward. I wanted Carson to be more take charge, and I didn’t want Sloane to be less mean (that’s how I felt she was at times). The story was sweet and emotional and I couldn’t fault the narration. Zachary Webber was perfect as Carson.

Blown away over this second chance romance

WOW this was such a sweet, emotional journey of two high school sweethearts that tugged on my heart strings. The narration was superb and I believe that I could listen to Zachary and Lacy forever. Loved their duet narration of Sloan and Carson, and they made it like watching a movie with my ears.

Then I found out that it’s a series. WOW
Sorry friends and family because I may be missing for a while 🤗 I’m going to need to get the other books ❣️

True love lasts forever.

🎧 Audiobook Obsession Reviewer

This s such a sweet story of second chance romance.between Carson and Sloan who were high school sweethearts but things get in the way and they part ways. Sloan is back it's like no time has passed but so much has happened can they get over it all? Oh I loved both Carson and Sloan they were such caring people and deserved a HEA but Carson just can't get over what went down between them both. Sloan was such a sweetheart she had a kind sole. This book pulled me in and stole my heart I loved everything about it.

Zachary Webber and Lacy Laurel were sooooooo good together loved that it was a Duet as they made it work so good it was so easy to imagine the story while they were reading.

I am so glad I got to listen and would highly recommend it I now need to listen to the rest of the series and you get to meet lots of characters from previous books and I know need to know everyone's story. A 5 star book.x

Fantastic Work

Reviewing for Audiobook Obsession

Very sweet storyline and definitely swoon-worthy. Zachary Webber does a fantastic portrayal of Carson and has the perfect voice for this role making the characters sound every bit as sexy as the characters personality.

I really enjoyed getting to know the characters in this storyline and would happily read/listen to more from this author in the future.

Lacy Laurel is the reincarnation of Sloan and does a fantastic job in getting the characters inner emotions across.

All in all fantastic work.
