About this listen
Turns out crash-landing into love is possible . . .
Katie is content with her post-alien-abduction life. Not only has she found work as a royal attendant, but her current assignment on a galaxy cruise is enjoyable, too . . . until the ship is brought down by a malevolent species. Now she must rescue her friends and escape a hostile planet—all by herself. Then she crosses paths with a sexy stranger who changes everything . . .
Forced labor in an enemy prison camp was nowhere on Maladek's agenda. But his own troubles will have to wait. Because against all odds, his mate is here. Now he has to focus on getting her to safety—and convincing her that fated mates are real. It would all be so much easier if he had more experience being a hero . . .
The circumstances are dire. Their timing couldn't be worse. Even if they manage to escape their captors, is a happily ever after possible for Katie and Maladek? They're about to find out . . .
Contains mature themes.

Enjoyable Novella
*Disclaimer. I usually rate novellas out of a maximum of three stars.
Katie the FMC was abducted from Earth as a teenager and has spent the past 10 or so years working alongside a Prince of a different species to the Clecanians, said Prince is bored with the cruise they are currently on and demands to be taken home immediately, which results in the crew of the ship taking an unknown shortcut and putting them all in the path of the predatory Seiliji who draw in unsuspecting ships and enslave those on board. Thankfully Katie isn't affected by the Seiliji and is able to avoid capture, whilst trying to figure out how to rescue not only herself but the Prince she comes across Maladek who instantly recognises her as his mate and the story goes from there.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novella from the Clecanian series, Maladek's character was one that intrigued me from Fejos book so I'm glad Victoria decided to revisit him and give us more of his story, I enjoyed the build up of the relationship between Katie & Maladek, there was plenty of action and the pacing of the story was great. The spice was good and I hope we get the see more of these two in future books. Stephen Dexter narrates and is once again fantastic with his performance. 🌶🌶

Fantastic
Another great book from Victoria aveline with a main character taken from Using Fejo. You can't help be fall for the main characters and I love the way that the women are always strong and tend to give their "mates" a good run. The narrator was top notch as usual and I hope he stays for the whole series. Highly recommend this book.
