Summary

From New York Times bestselling author Craig Alanson comes book four in the Convergence series, melding action-packed urban fantasy with his signature humor. Read by none other than award-winning narrator R.C. Bray.

Kaz Wolfe has everything he needs to prevent a Convergence that would allow gods and monsters from the Nether to invade our world. Everything, other than a single clue about what a Convergence is. Or how it works. Or how to stop it. To get answers, he might have to take a fun-filled family road trip to the last place he wants to go: the Netherworld.

Overall depth of the story

Outstanding there was a start middle end. Love the story the depth it went into and the individual characters. Can’t wait for the next book.

Not my thing but I like it

I'm not usually into Harry Potter fantasy stories and got into this one from the authors approach on the Barney and Skippy stories (inside joke). I really enjoy the comic humour of the stories, the impending doom of what's happening and the gunho attitude about how they get out of each fix and straight into the next one. it's roller coaster stuff with enough magical technical detail to make it all believable without sending you off into a slumber. Just love this guys style of writing and want more always.

this series just gets better

what started as a fairly weak and gimmicky series has matured into something good. it feels like Craig has eventually switched gears and is fully involved in the story and characters now.

Can’t wait for the next book!

Craig Alanson has once again proven his storytelling prowess with another captivating book that leaves readers wanting more. I found myself completely immersed in the narrative, not wanting the experience to end. The abundance of Skippy within the Genie adds a delightful layer of excitement and intrigue. I'm eagerly anticipating his next release. This book is an absolute must-read!

engaging for fans

I've listened to the earlier books in this series, so arrived having enjoyed past stories and already knowing the characters. thus I could easily engage with the evolving story, told with humour and superbly narrated. I wouldn't advise jumping into this without that background though, I don't think this book alone would would draw you in; and presuming you made it to the end you'd be let down that the book sort of finishes anticlimactically in mid air. as a fan I'm happy enough to wait whilst the next installment is written but as a stand alone it really wouldn't make sense.

Pretty Darn Good

The character development continues, the backstory gets more filling there is some great emotion pieces the performance is standard Bray (excellent). The pace is measured there is the right balance , for me, of serious and humour. I liked that the cliffhanger was a set up for the next book and not a whole bunch of loose ends ie. a whole book not just a part1. Congrats Mr A and Mr B. Loved it.

I am really enjoying going through Craig's catalogue of writings, thoroughly enjoyed this, and RC Brays narration is spot on, faultless.
