About this listen
Turns out the gorgeous stranger I had a one-night stand with is not only my sister’s best friend but also my new employee.
Worse? I shared a whole lot more with Avery than one mind-blowing night. I told her my deepest, darkest secret. Despite my constant worry that she’ll let the truth slip to my family, I can’t stay away from her. And when we’re tossed together for an out of town trip and forced to share a room with only one bed, the chemistry between us finally explodes...again. I have no problem making her see stars—or breaking the bed.
The trouble is, the longer our secret relationship goes on, the more I want to keep her. But she’s eight years my junior, the sunshine to my grump, and I know her free spirit wants more than the small town of Starlight Cove can offer. I know no one could ever give her more pleasure than I will, but I refuse to hold her back. Even if that means letting her go when her three month contract is up.

HOT
THIS IS HOT
I love a one night stand and then suddenly you find out they are your sisters best friend and your new employee!!
Avery and Aiden had such chemistry, and I loved them so much . He gave her everything she wanted from a book boyfriend because he also writes romance what?? The whole town is obsessed with his book, and it's a secret
Savannah peachwood and Jason Clarke narrate this, and omg, this is my first time hearing them together, and they sounded so amazing together they really made Aiden and Averys chemistry shine in their performance!!

Aiden & Avery
Holly Moley, Jason Clarke as Aiden was the stuff smexy book boyfriend dreams are made of. Two days later and I’m still fanning myself thinking about it!!!
Aiden has been keeping a massive secret from his family and this secret has been making his life at the resort fall apart; Avery has been dreaming of travelling the world since she was very young. When the opportunity she’s been waiting for comes but not when she was expecting she’s left with nothing besides staying in Starlight Cove to pass the time.
Ainden and Avery’s sizzling chemistry is explosive and smexy dirty. Both characters go through quite a lot of personal growth in the book whilst they are together but ultimately it’s how you deal with the consequences of your actions that matter.
Jason Clarke as Aiden was soooo good!! Aiden on his own was dreamy but with Jason’s voice it was shteamy goodness perfection!! Savannah Peachwood as Avery brought all her sassiness and bookish love to my delighted ears.

Avery and Aiden!
Avery has quit her job and moved across the country when her mother’s beau arranges a job opportunity as a flight attendant which has always been her dream. She decides to spend a few days in Starlight Cove with her best friend when she meets a sexy stranger in the bar and they spend an unforgettable night together.
Aiden is trying to drown his sorrows as he is finding it difficult trying to balance the demands of the family business with the secret he is keeping from his siblings. After their night together he never expected to see Avery again but not only is see his sister’s best friend, but he is now her boss.
The chemistry between Avery and Aiden radiates off the pages and there is so much more to him than the successful businessman he portrays. This is a heartwarming story about love, family and realizing what and who you want in your future. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they brought out the personalities of the characters and the special relationship they shared.

Erm...
Book 4 in the Starlight Cove series follows Aiden the buttoned up, always on top of everything McKenzie brother & Avery Addisons best friend from college. These two meet one night in the local bar and have no idea who the other is, they end up having a epic ONS thanks to Aiden's pleasure dom tendencies. The next day Addison hires Avery to work at the family resort for a couple of months making Aiden her new boss which makes the combustible chemistry between them a tad inconvenient.
This should have been right up my alley, and don't get me wrong it's a fun book, it just didn't give me what I hoped it would. Like book one of this series this book was very sex focused, again there is nothing wrong with that, but in order for me to be invested and to believe the romantic relationship between characters I need more from the emotional connection side and not just plenty of visits to Pound Town ya know?
Now said visits were excellent, detailed and definitely hot but, and I can't believe I'm about to say this, because of the frequency of the spice I became indifferent to it. I was left not understanding why they fell in love with each other as all they did was bang, have a meal or two together and bang some more... I needed more than that to be invested. I found Addison irritating in this whereas I enjoyed her character more in previous books, and I wasn't the biggest fan of the FMC Avery. Yes she is meant to be bratty but there is a good bratty and irritating bratty and she fell into the latter camp for me, not to mention what she did in the last couple of chapters was a pretty shit thing to do to the man you're meant to love & your best friend since college.
Like I said this is a fun book. It's a quick, lighthearted, spicy read and Savannah Peachwood & Jason Clarke were great with their narration, I just wanted more from the story than we got. 🤷♀️ This would be a 2/2.5⭐️ but the spice bumped it up to a 3.🌶🌶🌶
