Captivating storylines and lovable characters
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. It is full of danger and suspense, but it has sweet moments too. As always, the narration by Kelsey Osborne was amazing. Recommended.
Rebel Wolf
Sophie and Chase’s budding relationship has been hinted at throughout the other books. This shy couple were so cute and sweet. My favourite couple and book of the series!
Rebel Heart
This is a short and sweet prequel to Rebel Alpha. It gives an intriguing glimpse into Cynthia’s past and shows how she and Cal first met.
Rebel Alpha
Cynthia has been growing on me through this series as her serious demeanour has gradually thawed. Cal and Cynthia are perfect for each other, and in this book they finally get their HEA. This book is a fiery end to the series

Fantastic Collection
This collection of stories are the final three in what for me personally was one of the best shifter series I have ever listened to. I just love the way Anna Lowe writes, the pictures she paints with her words bring her stories to life beautifully.
Rebel Wolf (Book 4) - The first book in this Pearls of Desire series introduced us to a group of shifter brothers, not all the same species, they had different mothers but the same father. After leaving the military they find a new home working as security guards for the shifters living at the next-door estate. This book, the fourth in the series is about Chase, he is the quiet brother, the shy but loyal brother who finds interactions with humans hard, he was actually born in the wild so that's understandable. He is a wolf shifter with a heart of gold. In the preceding books in this series, we have had glimpses of Chase trying to work up the nerve to ask Sophie out, his brothers all know she is the one for him but as I said he's so shy!
Sophie is attempting to hide away from her past, in Maui and is thrilled to finally be going on a date with Chase, he has finally asked her out! Unfortunately, danger comes knocking but now she is not alone. I loved the interactions between them I thought that Sophie was perfect for Chase and I loved Chase's wisecracks.
The way Anna Lowe tells their story is perfect it's a beautiful love story which did not disappoint! Another brother mated, another pearl found - What next I ask myself?
Although this is a great series and can be read without reading the Jewels of the Heart Series I would recommend to anyone that you read all of them, they are so worth it!
Rebel Heart (Book 4.5) - This is the shortest of prequels but it shows us that Cynthia has a heart, we've always known that she would die for Joey but she never seemed to mourn the loss of her husband, at least not openly, well now we know why! This glimpse from Anna Lowe shows us the young Cynthia before she suffered loss when she believed in following her own desires, in pushing the boundaries, when in some ways she believed herself entitled to choose to find her own happiness.
I am now really impatient for the whole story and hope that this time Cynthia gets to be happy with her fated mate. As for Cal, well I’m already a little in love....
Rebel Alpha (Book 5) - This story starts where the prequel left off, and It brings to an end one of my favourite series of shifter stories ever!
So far in this series, Cynthia has been an aloof and commanding figure, she's co-alpha, she's rigid and strict and although she has mellowed a little during the previous books her history has remained a secret known only to Silas the dragon who brought this group together to help guard his own shifter pack/family.
But Cynthia has a heart, we've always known that she would die for her son Joey but she never seemed to mourn the loss of her husband, at least not openly, in this wonderfully crafted story we find out what made her the way she is and watch as she struggles to become so much more.
Cal is a lone wolf, he's an alpha wolf without a pack, and he's alone in the world. The reason for this is that some ten years ago he met and fell in love with his destined mate, but she chose family duty, over their love/bond. Why? because she was a dragon, the highest level of shifter, not only that she was the last of her line which also happened to be one of the oldest and most respected dragon bloodlines. Now his mate is a widow, with a son who needs his protection and he is going to step up and provide it! Will his mate accept him back into her life? Will her pack accept him into their midst? Will they be able to defeat the enemy who is coming?
As this is the final book in the series there is a lot happening. Moria who has featured so much in this series and the previous one finally makes her move against all the shifters in an attempt to take over the wealth which belongs to Cynthia and therefore her innocent son Joey. There is so much more I want to say that but would involve spoilers and I don't want to do that so all I can say is this book is beautifully crafted, the writing style is excellent and the action and chemistry had me holding my breath! I loved it!
The narration is wonderfully performed by Kelsey Osborne who brings these wonderful stories to life, she and Anna make a great team! Thank you ladies.
