Summary

Swinging shifter bachelor gets the surprise of his life. Is he up to the challenge?

Voted a favorite series by PNR Lovers!

Lion-shifter Dell O'Roarke has never been serious about life, but life is about to get serious with him. The beautiful stranger who has just arrived in Maui isn't looking for just anyone - she's looking for him. And that's not just any surprise she's brought along - it's a baby who looks a hell of a lot like Dell. Soon, he discovers there's more at stake than his lifestyle as a swinging bachelor.

Vengeful shifters are hot on the stranger's heels, making Dell wonder - are they after the woman, the baby, or him?

Marketing executive manager Anjali Jain hasn't taken a vacation in years - and she sure isn't on vacation now. She's simply keeping a promise, and then she'll be back to climbing the corporate ladder. But there's nothing simple about taking care of a baby - or handing that baby off to a handsome, mysterious stranger who feels like a long-lost friend.

Easygoing, relaxed Dell isn't her type, but the more he reluctantly reveals of his hidden side, the deeper she falls in love - and the more mysteries she discovers. How can one man possibly awaken so many lusts and desires? What evil forces lurk behind the sudden death of her best friend? And why does she have the feeling there's something not quite human about the murderers - or about Dell?

Workaholics and carefree cats.

oh my gosh, this book is hilarious and so cute all at the same time. I absolutely love Del, his cheeky personality and funny nickname for Cynthia had me cracking up. Anjolie is one of those work driven women, missing out on so much to follow her dreams. I actually felt bad for her, and I have to admit Del is absolutely perfect for her. They bring out the best in eachother, it was so much fun listening to this. The storyline is a bit more emotional than the first two books, because of a little surprise that turns up. It both warms your heart and breaks it, I think this might actually be my favourite in the series. It touches on some serious problems that many suffer in real life, but without overstepping. It's an inspiring story for sure, with paranormal aspects added for effect. And once again the narrator did an amazing job performing the story, switching between both Del and Anjolie. One of my favourite things about this series, is how characters from previous series's return in some form. A thing I've come to enjoy from this author, our loveable hero's are never truly gone. These are books I fully intend to buy in paperback, I will definitely pick them up to listen again.

Another fantastic read

This book had me hooked. I like being able to follow pack members and their stories. I like that they interlink. I don’t like that I am unable to do my chores etc because I have to know what happens next in the story lol. The narration is good too. Onto the next book now.

You can’t fight destiny

4 and ½ stars. Rebel Lion is the third book in the Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire series. Set on the tropical island of Maui, this book follows Anjali and Dell’s story. The previous two books in this series hinted at Dell’s softer side, but now we get to see things from his point of view. Looking after baby Quinn helped Dell realise his worth. We also get to see Anjali learn that there is more to life than work.

This is a very sweet romance. Great storyline, lovable characters and fabulous narration.

In love with Dell

Book 3 in Pearls of Desire by Anna Lowe
Dell is a lion shifter and after leaving forces he tried to make a new life in Maui. Living with his team he’s the living the simple life. Always the joker not taking things seriously he’s loving life.
Anjail is on the corporate ladder and trying to be successful but when her bff dies leaving her daughter in her care with a note asking her to take Quinn to Dell.
Dell is completely shocked to find his dead brother is a father to a adorable 18 months old little girl but what’s more shocking is the women with her is his mate.
I absolutely loved this book especially how Dell is with the kids Quinn and Joey but also how much he annoys Cynthia Joey’s mum.
The narrator Kelsey Osborne does a fantastic job with all the different characters and kids characters across.

We see more of Moira and find out a bit more about her and Cynthia’s connection, I can’t wait for that book!
Another great read/listen from the pearls of desire series, it’s easy to get hooked on these characters and as each book builds to the confrontation you know is coming so does the tension of the group. Bring on the next book, i’m ready.

Del Meets his Mate

WITH EVERY SINGLE ONE of these books I say '"THIS IS THE BEST YET" only to have Anna write the next in the series and I want to say it again! I really loved Dell's story. I loved how he felt an instant connection to his niece Quinn, the way he is torn when everyone is telling him has to give her up because he won't be able to cope. Well, things might appear like that at the start but by the end of the story, nobody is saying that.

I have always had a soft spot for Del when I have been listening to the previous books in this series, he was always so determined to be his own person/lion whilst going out of his way being a good male influence on Joey, even when that entailed acting like a child himself. Every boy needs a playmate and I love the way he tries to get a rise out of Cynthia, Joey's mum, and the co-alpha.

The chemistry between Anjali Jain and Wendell O'Roarke, better know to us as Dell, is palpable, from the moment Dell comes home to find Anjali holding Quinn and looks into his own eyes there is a shift in the Dell we have all come to know and love. Fun and Frolicks are replaced by Love and Duty but it wasn't only duty Dell felt it was love and Destiny, his destiny because life's like that - it happens while we are busy making plans.

Anjali, a self-confessed workaholic has brought her friend's baby, Quinn, to her only remaining relative after Lourdes, her childhood friend and Quinn's mother supposedly committed suicide, her plan was to drop off the baby and return to work - what is that saying about the best-laid plans?

In order to help Quinn settle and to give Del time to adjust she agrees to stay for a few days to smooth over the transition, but is she only staying for Quinn - what about her gorgeous uncle?

When the chips are down and Quinn's life is threatened she finds an inner core of strength she didn't know she had. Her growing love for Quinn and Dell mean she will have to make choices - will she make the right one for all concerned? How will she react when she finds out about Shifters? Can she give up what she has strived so hard to achieve?

There is a lot of action in this story, there is the return of Moira who has played such an important part in the lives of all the shifters at Koakea Plantation and Koa Point - a more evil person/shifter you could not meet! I hope Anna has a great end in store for her! There is also Love, Duty, Destiny, Sizzling Chemistry and as with all of these books an HEA.

I admit that I read this book when it was first released and I enjoyed it immensely, but the narration by the incredibly talented Kelsy Osborne takes this story to a whole new level bringing out parts of the story my reading of it missed.

I can't recommend this book or this series highly enough. Buy it! I was lucky enough to be given a copy of this audiobook as a gift and I am voluntarily writing this review.

Dell and Anjali

Fun-loving Dell steps up when he finds out his deceased brother has a baby girl. Things get really suspenseful and heated when Dell and Anjali, the baby's caretaker after the baby's mother dies, return to Chicago for Dell to sign adoption papers. Both Dell and Anjali were too busy thinking a relationship with the other would not work instead of focusing on how it could work. Anjali's new boss is an enemy of the Maui shifters. Things get hairy when she sees Dell. She even propositions him. Dell and Anjali try to flee back to Maui. During a layover in Honolulu, trouble follows them in the airport. This is an excellent story. Fits in with the storyline although each book is different. Kelsey Osborne's narration is getting better with each book. I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

You'd Think A Lion Would Have More Of A Backbone

This book was ok but the problem I have with it is Dell's lack of backbone. Seriously, if you found out your beloved sibling fathered a child that was suddenly orphaned, would you let your friends decide whether or not you raise the baby? I get having doubts but there is NO WAY I would let anyone make that decision for me. Especially, going so far as making arrangements for adoption without my involvement. Co-Alpha or not, Cynthia would have been told to butt the "F" out and Conner would have gotten an earful about just assuming I wasn't capable of raising a child. Dell may have been carefree and fun prior to Quinn's arrival but he was still a special forces soldier. If he could become that, his so-called family should have had more faith in him and supported him rather than telling him what he should do. And he should have spoken up. That part of the story drove me crazy. I detest weak characters, men or women. The lead-up keeps telling you how big and strong the hero is and that he's a former special forces soldier and then he can't even speak up and tell his friends he is going to keep and raise his niece? Weak and frustrating!

To Anna Lowe and Kelsey Osborne

The story was really interesting and held my interest. If I were to mention one thing that I found very distracting throughout this book as well as all the others in this series, It would be the constant asking of the rhetorical question “right.” It’s asked way too many times. Narrated nailed it! Way to go VO talent!!!

Loved it

I absolutely love reading this series and the newest book “Rebel Lion” just proves why this series is so good. The main characters are really well written. They suck you and won’t let you go till the end. This is the 3rd in the series and while you can read them as stand alones I would highly suggest reading them because they are all great.

Care free Dell a dad?

Shifters: Pearls of Desire. I story is light, easy read. I wouldn't mind the heroine showed more strength. Anjali does great in the fight but in the rest of the story, seems weak for a women that has worked hard to get to the top of her profession. Dell turns from a care free guy to Mr. Mom over night. While this is endearing, some failures along the way would make it more realistic.
Over all, it's a nice story and if you likes the first 2 books, you will enjoy this one also. I am looking forward to reading quiet Chase's story.

Yes! Dell's turn!

Boy, I'll tell you what, Anna never disappoints!

This is book 3 in the pearls of desire series, which comes hot on the heels of the other aloha shifter series. This is Dell's story - laid back lion who is good with kids, finds out that he in fact has his own child. Anjali fulfills her promise to bring Dell his child after a brutal murder makes Dell the only parent around. She didn't expect to do more than that, but Dell is more than what he seems. ..and there's the pesky problem of bad guys trying to kill one or of them

If you haven't read these books, you really should. Each can be read by themselves, but the true depth of the story arcs can be best appreciated by reading them from beginning (book 1) to this latest.

Rebel Lion

I enjoyed listening to Rebel Lion. The story of Dell was a change from the norm. Anjali's life has been turned upside down. She just lost her best friend and is now on a quest to find her daughter a home. Anjali finds herself in none other than Maui, seeking out the infamous ladies man Dell O'Roarke. Ready to find the baby a home and return to her very well manicured life in Chicago, Anjali had no idea how much of a paradise Maui could be.

All good things must come to an end. Anjali comes roaring into Dell's life. Now Dell finds himself the father to a little lion cub, only it isn't his. Dell now has to make one of the biggest decisions of his life, give the child up or raise it like it is his own. Not only that, his lion claims to have found his mate! I received a copy of Rebel Lion from the author.

Great Book

I enjoyed reading this book. The only reason I didn’t give the book a five is because I feel like she gets a little lengthy at times. I think she could leave somethings out. Or she could add more drama and action. But overall I liked the book.
