Summary
What happened after the happily ever after?
You all know the story of your favorite fairy tale, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairy-tale ending? Well, we know. Not all afters end up happily; sometimes the real adventure starts much later....
No one understands what it's like when your mother is famous for her beauty and you are, at best, average. Actually I'm wrong. She wasn't famous just for her beauty, but that's how people tell the story, how people have always told the story. That was even her name for a while. No one remembered her real name. She was just the sleeping princess or Sleeping Beauty. Even all these years later, when the royals appear in the paper, my father, the king, barely gets a mention, and I'm only a footnote in my own life, destined to always be Sleeping Beauty's daughter.
My name's Princess Azia Rose of Draconis, and here is my story....
Following famous fairy-tale characters, 18 years after their happily ever after, the Kingdom of Fairytales offers an edge-of-the-seat thrill ride in an all-new and sensational way to listen to.

More romance than fantasy ...
I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.
Narration 9/10
The narration is good, mostly through first person perspective of the protagonist and the voice fits the character just fine. Just bump up the speed a little bit.
Story 6.5/10
The story is about Princess Azia, the adopted daughter of the "Sleeping Beauty", and is told thought her perspective after her 18th birthday. The pace of the story is good and there are several points of interest. However, rather than exploring those and focusing on the fantasy parts and world building, there is so much focus in the love interests of the princess, which was totally unanticipated since no romance is suggested by the genre tag (Sci-Fi & Fantasy > Sword & Sorcery), or the title, or even the provided summary.
Overall I think that this had more potential and would only read the followups if I knew they focus more on the suggested themes. As it is, I can only suggest this to kids and teenage girls.

After the fairytale
This was a fantastic tale of life after the fairytale, about sleeping beauty's adopted daughter. The premice was exciting and the story engaging, which kept my interest to the end, the narration was excellent only enhancing the story, bringing it to life. Princess Azia's just turned 18, the dragons are agitated, and there unrest in the kingdom. Her father has arranged a marriage to a fey prince, to avoid it she fakes a romance with guard Milo, but a few kisses lead to something more. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next book.

Fabulous!
Queen of Dragons is a fantastic fairytale, a clever spin on a classic, The Sleeping Beauty. J.A. Armitage did a superb job with this story, it's wonderfully written and quite enjoyable. Princess Azia Rose yearns for independence, so when she learns that her parents have arranged a marriage for her, so she evades it. The storyline is engaging with drama and a dash of romance.
Excellent narration by Melody Muzljakovich; she truly brought the story to life. Overall, this was a fabulous listen, and I'm eagerly anticipating the next book in the series. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Interesting "what happens next" tale
This story picks up roughly 18 years after the kiss that awakens Sleeping Beauty, and centers primarily on the oldest child and daughter of Briar Rose and the Prince (now King). It brings an interesting perspective to the question of what happens in the Happily (?) Ever After cliche' with which we are all familiar. I like the character development and story setup that takes place in this series starter, and the narration is fantastic also. My only complaint, if it actually is one, is that I wish the story was longer! I'm eager to find out what happens next. I received this as a free review copy in exchange for an honest review.

Original Sleeping Beauty's Daughter Story!
This is the first book of four in the Season One of the Kingdom of Fairytales Sleeping Beauty, an intricate and original Sleeping Beauty's daughter story. Azia Rose is a wonderful character, strong, and determined. Her story is fast-paced and entertaining. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listen to Heiress of Embers, the next book in the Series. Melody Muzijakovich did an entertaining read of the story.

Combination Fairytale & Fantasy
J. A. Armitage has combined components of the "Sleeping Beauty" Fairytale and elements of Fantasy to produce a new and creative story that enchants readers from the beginning. The only drawback is that this book ends on a cliffhanger. Melody Muzljakovich's narration is good and her voice is expressive adding to the enjoyment of the story. Dragons and Magic in a Fairy Tale Kingdom
Sleeping Beauty's adopted daughter has reached her own young adulthood and wants to learn to defend herself. She doesn't have much interest in gaining her own Prince Charming to defend her, but everything is not as it should be in the kingdom and she might need a white knight. Fortunately (or perhaps not) she suddenly has two.
This story has a lot of promise, but it's more like a first act than the whole play. We get to meet the players, get a bit of background and, some well crafted action scenes and a cliffhanger ending, but when push comes to shove, not a lot happens.
It's interesting however, and well enough written and narrated that I'll head back for book two, if only to find out whether she marries her parents choice or her fake lover.

A Sleeping Beauty Retelling
Queen of Dragons - A Sleeping Beauty Retelling (Kingdom of Fairytales Sleeping Beauty, Book 1) is the adaptation of the fairytale sleeping beauty and puts a wicked twist on the original tale. The ending was a bombshell. A royal family, turmoil and a complex story. Building relationships and learning magic Azia develops love interests along the way. The ending was a bombshell cliffhanger.
Narrator Melody Muzljakovich flawless performance gave each character a distinct voice. Highly entertaining and talented narrator.

What a wonderful sleeping beauty part two
Sleeping beauty is sleeping again, her true loves kiss is it waking her and those dragons polluting and plummeting the kingdom not to mention their oldest daughter Sara is having nightmares of a woman with a horn hat wanting her to touch the spin the wheel needle and all this on top of her being forced to marry the man who saved her mother the first time around who is old enough to be her dad. This story was so good I loved it by the way her name isn’t Sara it’s Aurora or something like that. Anyway I love this book not to mention the narrator is freaking awesome when I first heard a voice I was like oh sounds like a little kids reading the book but by the third sentence I was in I was like she is so awesome she does the multiple voices with confidence and a very believable. You don’t even need introduction as the story goes on as she doesn’t voices you know who’s speaking. She is so awesome I hope she does the next book.

Whimsical continuation of classic tale.
Princess Azia Rose always lived in the shadow of her adopted mother the infamous Sleeping Beauty, but this did bother her as she liked being independent. She has been content to just look after her disabled brother secretly play fighting him with swords behind the castle. Until her parents decided due to an unrest among the dragons she must marry in preparation for ruling the kingdom. The hijinks that ensue after this bombshell is a fairy tale within itself. This story is a continuation of the classic fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty and it is a good adaptation unfortunately just as it starts to get good it abruptly ends. Despite the lack of closure I still would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and or classic fairy tales. The characters are well-rounded and believable. The plot once the introduction of the characters is complete is fast paced and enjoyable. Despite leaving you wanting more, this book as well worth the read.

Princess Azia is not her mother Sleeping Beauty
Princess Azia has a famous mother in Sleeping Beauty. She was adopted at birth and is next in line to the throne. Azia feels she can lead her people without a husband. Her parents think she should marry at this time before she takes the crown. Enter a certain someone that she takes an instant dislike for who arrives to become her husband. Azia has other ideas, she throws a name of someone that she says she is dating. From there on she comes to know each one better and then there be dragons and more turmoil. I love the ever after books and I am eager to read the next book in this series. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and this is my honest review.
