Summary

Absolutely Wicked!
Loved this story line, I was dying to know what happened next without feeling thriller-level stress. A perfect blend.
Loved the lead characters. May Sage's leading ladies always have a bit of sauce and strong spine. Vanessa was no different though the extent of her spine actually surprised me at times. A really good surprise! Charles was just lovable. I love that he was the naive one of the two and still he managed to be all manly. Great balance.
Loved the extended length of this book too. I love May Sage but her books are often so short. This one is longer than her usual and even more enjoyable as I have more time to fall in love with the characters and become part of their world.
Please write more in this world!

What a wonderful exciting new book!
Power Games by May Sage
Narrated by Sebastian York and Virginia Rose
Five Stars
This is the first book I have listened to by May Sage, but definitely won’t be the last. Power Games is a fast paced political love story, where you can never decide who is telling the truth. I loved how it kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen until the very end. Sebastian and Virginia really brought the characters to life and their voice blended well together. This whole reading/listening experience was a delight. I’m looking forward to listening/reading to more of Ms. Sage’s books in the future.

This forbidden love was worth the credit
Its definitely a slow burn with a lot of drama. Feels like I read a series rather than a standalone. That was a nice change. I will say had the hea part been longer it would have been more gratifying but you can't have everything and this book came close. The narration was spot on and couldn't have been any better in my opinion

Brilliant storyline
I enjoyed this book so much. Great characters and a tricky storyline that could of gone wrong however it has been written so well it’s great. Well done May, your skill and talent for writing shines through. Great narrators, that work well together.

Great Listen
Charles is happy in his loveless marriage until he meets Vanessa. She is everything his wife is not and what he thinks he wants. They keep in contact and don't want to cross the lines. That is until his wife is murdered and Vanessa lies to save him. This book is full of political games and suspense. Great story. Great Narration.

Power PLAY
I LOVED this book. So sexy! I've never listened to an audio book by May Sage but will differently seek out more - Sebastian York is my FAVORITE narrator, and Virginia Rose was a terrific match giving the characters individual personalities.
Charles has worked hard all his life. From soldier, CEO, stuck in a loveless marriage with various addictions, and being suspected of murder - he can't help but stop thinking about Vanessa.
Vanessa - personable, America's former first daughter, with a wholesome image as a singer/song writer on the rise. Now, she's an accomplice.
Charles thinks that all Vanessa wants is to be his first lady, but Vanessa hates being in the lime light and ruthless games of politics and Charles will have to wise up to realize that what she really wants is Charles. Problem is, he too has a bulls eye on his back and she feels compelled to rescue him...

A Great duet performance!
I love a duet performance in audiobooks and I really love when it is delivered by sexy gravelly voice Sebastian York! His delivery along with Virginia Roses' narration made this audiobook worth listening to in and of itself.
This story is fast paced and full of suspense. Games are afoot and not all the true players are revealed until the very end. But their is much at stake in this revolving power struggle and winner takes all. Amidst love, death and political games a romance waits in the wings but someone wants to play power games and threaten the lover's HEA.
This was a nice listen especially if you love a duet like I do.

Fast paced full of twists
This was a quick book that was a fast paced book full of twists and turns. I am a huge fan of political thrillers and also alpha males. This book had a little mix of both. I hope she comes out with the next book. I want to know what happens during the White House. As alway Seb yo did amazing, and Virginia Rose met him stride for stride. May Sage is an amazing writer.

Suspenseful romance
This book is a rollercoaster ride of longing, romance, political games and suspense. Although there were several times I just wanted to shake and strangle these characters, I thought this was a good story. The dual narration really added to my enjoyment of the book. The narrators did an awesome job with these characters.

Exciting story with excellent narration
This was a story of two halves for me, the first half was a bit slow and I got upset with Charles for not being more decisive about his awful relationship with his wife. I felt for Vanessa so much and it was painful listening to them meeting up over the years and knowing she was saving herself. I also felt I was waiting in the first half for the big 'something' to happen, I think it would have been better if this had been a bit earlier in the story as I would have like more of the 'after' story. I loved Charles and Vanessa once this happened and the way they got it together and Charles trusted Vanessa even after everything. The last hour was brilliant and this is what I would like more of if there's another book which I would love and definitely buy as I want to hear more about these characters and this world! The narration was amazing and added so much to the story and the angst of the characters.
