Summary
Oceanographer and professional gamer Cordelia Bourne has had an unexplained connection with water and aquatic life for as long as she could remember. With days spent taking photos underwater and nights spent streaming her live gameplay of video game Tides of Atlantis, even as an adult, she surrounds herself with anything aquatic.
When she meets pro surfer Simon Thalassa, her entire world begins to change. One look into his green eyes and she gets the sinking feeling that she's met him before even though she knows she hasn't.
But after a fateful day at sea, realizations pour in, and soon she discovers Simon is Poseidon, King of the Seas, and she has a special connection to him.

Interesting mix of real world and mythology
This book is just as interesting as the others in the series. Poseidon is masquerading as Simon, a pro surfer when he meets Cordelia, an oceanographer. Both have the feeling they have met before... and they have.
This book is delves far more into the mythology than any other in the series. There are a ton more cameo's from other gods, and you hear/learn far more about all their stories. I know very little about Greek mythology so the stories were interesting to hear, although I have no idea how close to the actual stories they are.
This book isn't about these two getting together, it's more about them dealing with their pasts before they can move forward.
It was a very interesting read and I really enjoyed it.
The narration was really good and definitely helped pull me into the story, I would listen to Carly Robins again.

Brilliant adaptation
This is an excellent addition to the Contemporary Mythos series. Poseidon@s queen has been reincarnated many times over the years, but this is the first time he recognises her. Cordelia Bourne feels there is something familiar about him but never in her wildest dreams did she imagine the truth.
Great read and wonderful narration

Read it!
Loved it! Simon is Poseidon. Cordelia is the banished wife reincarnated. Great story, and lovely how the whole family of Gods have been brought into the modern day, and lots mentioned in this story. Read it!

Fun! Fun! Fun!
I love reimagined Greek mythology, and add a romance theme and I am hooked. Carly Spade kept me entertained with Poseidon's story, full of action witty banter and laugh out loud scenes. Simon/Poseidon is a surfer, and is take with Cori, and aquatic photographer. What Cori doesn't realize is that Simon is her long lost love, and now the two get their second chance at forever love! The story is original and funny! The banter between Cori and Poseidon had me smiling and their chemistry is off the charts. But nothing is every easy when it comes to the Gods. Assimilating back to the realm is tough and leads us to a cast of characters that just add to the entertainment. From Hypnos to Medusa it's a fun time getting to know each and every one. Surprises, twists and turns and a love for the ages, Spade leaves us open ended as Poseidon and Cordelia continue to try to find their daughter. Can't wait to see how it all turns out.
Carly Robins is our storyteller and as always, she is fabulous. Comedic timing, suspenseful build up, and a knack for incredible character voicing, she creates a world to escape to. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.

Perfect
I really enjoyed Poseidon (Simon) and Amphitrite (Cordelia) story . I love how her pet fish did weird things and how the sea life all flocked to her when she was on a photo shoot .
