Summary

Discover the proven method helping thousands of women make simple, positive habit changes for noticeable results in their effort to erase PCOS symptoms for good.

Often times, pesky and frustrating symptoms such as weight gain, unwanted hair growth, and acne persist for years unnecessarily, simply because the majority of women diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome are left uninformed of all the treatment options at their disposal.

And the longer these harmful symptoms persist, the more likely the damage will become permanent!

Right now, exciting new tools are emerging from recent scientific studies that can multiply your own results in your fight against PCOS, yet many women share the experience of being dismissively told the same, generic “diet and weight loss” advice from their doctor.

This is why this book takes a fresh, listener-friendly approach unlike the others and rethinks what we know about PCOS by exhaustively examining all the latest studies on the topic, leaving no stone unturned, while also exploring many of the home remedies, some of them strange seeming, that many women swear by!

Take a comprehensive look at a collection of the latest knowledge on the subject, including:

  • How one specific type of bacteria can help reduce your symptoms up to 20 percent
  • The symptom destroying supplements you need to be taking
  • How to target specific symptoms, and the results you should expect
  • Fertility advice and the facts behind achieving a pregnancy with PCOS
  • How one specific type of nut is causing some women’s symptoms to disappear
  • What PCOS means for your chances at motherhood
  • The one type of food you need to avoid at all costs
  • And much more....

You’re not alone in the battle to clear up PCOS symptoms. Even if the methods you’ve tried have been ineffective, be confident knowing you are NOT out of options.

If you’re ready to take back control over your PCOS symptoms, start listening today!

In the top two books I've read on this subject

I've read numerous books on this subject, female health, hormones and diet. Sadly many are unqualified cranks, lots of cherry picked data, unscientific advice and plenty of via and anecdotes. This book is in my top three.
It is very professionally written and read.
There is lots of new information not the usual same things repeated over and over.
The way the research is presented is balanced and professional. This is one of two books that I have read on this subject that I went on to buy the rest of their books. This and the hormone reset diet.
Both have been invaluable to me and my journey through hormone issues, to improving my health. It's not an exaggeration to say that they changed my life, I have managed to reverse my pcos symptoms long term.
The narrator speaks very soothingly.

Informative and Helpful

I've been diagnosed with PCOS for a while, and I get into moods where I research more about it and how the symptoms impact me in others ways along with fertility. This book does offer a lot of information and granted, there are a few instances where words are pronounced in a way that was jarring, but it did not take away from the experience. There is a nice focus on the actuality of PCOS, not just a 'here is how you lose weight' which a lot of resources do seem to be. I do think this is a good place for someone to search for answers to their problems with this diagnosis.

As a pharmacist cannot recommend

I feel like this book was just an ad to put everyone on metformin (diabetes medication). While giving an overview of pcos it only states insulin resistance as the cause and testosterone responsible for all symptoms of pcos. She recommends supplements that are not safe in pregnancy (black cohosh). The references used are incredibly weak (healthline and webmd). How about all primary literature and now what anyone can just google.

There are a few nuggets in there, but there is so much information that is not first line I would need to further research (optimal amounts of flax seed and cinnamon).

While she states this is not a diet book and more about what you can add to your diet... it’s so comprehensive that it’s essentially touting a whole food diet. Except for the parts where chocolate is good, chocolate is bad.

Overall this book was a solid waste of credit and time. Don’t buy if you’re new to pcos it’s all information that should be given after the journey of lifestyle modification.

Waste of time

Most of the book is about the symptoms of pcos and other related conditions. The advice is very obvious and somewhat outdated diet advice you’ve probably heard a thousand times. “Eat walnuts!” “Breakfast is important” “work out a little” “get a good nights rest!”. Then there is a lot of really condescending positive thinking thrown in with every other word being infertility. The narrator is okay, but sounds borderline like my gps. There is nothing here you can’t find from a quick google search. Bummer

Could not get past chapter 1

Barely got into the book. Returned it. Seems like it is saying because you have pcos to have to have diabetes. Wake up not everyone with pcos has diabetes. In the first chapter it contradict itself more then 5 times.

I found this book to not give any helpful info

It was saying everything that is out there already. I guess some people will find it very informative as it does give a list of possible causes and supplements. But for me was almost a repetition of all I have already read.

it was very interesting and informative

I enjoyed this book and appreciated that it didn't focus on weight. the way words like estrogen were pronounced threw me off a little but not enough to take away from the book. this book has given me hope and good questions to bring up with my doctor

I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and this is my volintery review

Great introduction and explanation of PCOS!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review via Audiobook Boom.

I can honestly say that I wish I could have listened to this book when I was 15 or 16, when I was first diagnosed with PCOS and again when I was first trying to conceive at age 28. I had no idea how this syndrome would impact my life and worse, my doctors never really told me much. They gave me the combination birth control pill and sent me on my way. If I had this book back then, I would have felt a lot less anxious or depressed in my formative years and would have been way more prepared for pregnancy.

I only gave this 4 stars for performance because the narration was really great but the sound quality was not very good. There was weird feedback, some clicking of a mouse and microphone feedback that disrupted the flow for me.

I would definitely reccomend this book to others fighting for a diagnoses or have recently received a diagnoses! I pray that by the time my young daughters are old enough to be concerned that they too may have this diagnoses that there will be a cure or at least a better way to deal with all of the symptoms!

Save your time and your money!

This is by far one of the worst books I've encountered. I feel like I could've written a better book by using better resources. I feel like I listened to a college health class paper being narrated by someone with a British accent to make it sound more official.

98% of the information in this book I learned from doing a few hours of my own research. Most of which didn't pertain to me or my type of PCOS. The title is ironic since she spent a good portion of the time talking about dieting, losing weight or taking different types of drugs/supplements to help lose weight. When she wasn't doing that, she was giving excessively repetitive examples of women who were seeing doctors who shouldn't be doctors. I feel like there was a lot of toxic positivity, as well. 100% do not recommend to anyone.

Highly recommend to give this book a shot

This book is extremely informative and educational on what PCOS is and how it can impact women with their lifestyles.

Being that I am now in my late 20s I feel that I was brushed away by doctors with thinking I might have PCOS and now from this book I want to go to a specialist who can help me and better my lifestyle.

I would definitely recommend.

Great info a must have!!!

This had great info and gave me hope that I can get pregnant. It also gave me a much better understanding of my condition and makes me feel more in control of what’s going on. I would suggest this book to any that has OT even thinks they have PCOS!!!
