Summary

A summer to remember...

Georgia Banks knows she’s living on borrowed time. So, when doctors tell her she’s got one last summer to make all her dreams come true, she’s determined to make every day count.

The one thing that’s never in doubt, is that she wants her best friend, Gabe, to be with her every step of the way. And so, Georgia draws up her not-a-bucket list with all the things she’s determined to tick off before she goes – number one of which is to spend one last summer by the sea.

Seabreeze Farm perched high on the cliffs above the English Channel is the perfect spot, and surrounded by the antics of its menagerie of rescued animals and the warmth of the friendship she’s offered there, Georgia starts to believe she can live out all her dreams before it’s too late.

And just when she thinks there’s nothing left to wish for, Georgia gets another chance at life. But taking it might mean losing the one person she cares about the most.

As she faces her biggest challenge yet, Georgia wonders if her last summer at Seabreeze Farm will mean the end of her biggest dream of all.

Easy and relaxing

I actually liked this …. Just bought the next book. Didn’t mind narration … nice easy listen.
I use these books at work …. Makes my days all the more enjoyable and I liked the characters
I’m hoping these books are like the Cornish midwife series in that each character gets a storyline of their own in different books.

Narration so wrong

Story is good not the best but the narration is terrible very dull and I am sure I missed some of the story as I completely tuned out. This is the first time I have with a Jo Bartlett story. Such a shame.

Easy listen but ………..

Narrator was hard to listen to. Storyline was easy listening but predictable. Couldn’t warm to the characters.

Slow story

I found this slow and at some points tuned out of listening. Completely. I think the main issue was the narrator who read rather than told the story. At times it was frustrating to listen to.

A little disappointed

Certainly not as good as book 1 and 2. I wanted to listen despite reading the reviews but it have to agree it is monotonous, the story and the narration. Perhaps listen to make your own mind up.

Light and airy

A light and airy, if not predictable story. One that makes you feel good. The narration is questionable in parts and doesn’t always observe sensible punctuation.

Totally put off by the narrator. Very little inflection made story very boring and uninteresting

One last Summer

Average storyline, not as good as others she has written, very predictable.
The most awful, wooden narration. Put me off ordering the second book. Absolutely awful.
