Nice ending and good concept but slow story

This storyline had potential to be fantastic, tackling some tricky themes, but the story was slow to progress and somewhat repetitive in the middle sections of the book. I liked the excitement at the end but felt we had waited a while for the story to pick up again. I enjoyed hearing the story from two different perspectives and it served as a reminder that everybody has hidden struggles so kindness is always the best approach. Unfortunately this book didn't quite live up to promising expectations for me.
