Summary

Emory: Will Grayson has always been an animal. Reckless, wild, and someone who was never bound by a single rule other than to do exactly what he wanted. There was no way his grandfather was going to risk him humiliating the family again.

Not that the last time was entirely his fault. He might've enjoyed backing me into corners in high school when no one was looking, so they wouldn't catch on that Mr. Popular actually wanted a piece of that quiet, little nerd he loved to torture so much, but...he could also be warm. And fierce in keeping me safe.

The truth is...he has a right to hate me. It's all my fault. And I regret nothing.

Will: I never minded being locked up. I learned a long time ago that being treated like an animal gives you permission to act like one. Their only mistake is believing anything I do is an accident. I can sit in this house with no internet, television, liquor, or girls, but I'll come out of here with something far more frightening to my enemies. A plan.

I just didn't expect one of my enemies to come to me. I can smell her hiding in the house. She's here. Blackchurch houses five prisoners. I'm only one of her problems.

Contains mature themes.

Amazing!!

This book is AMAZING!! It was action packed with soooo many things happening that I did not see coming, which linked to the other books in the series. My mind feels blown with how everything links together and OMG IT IS JUST AMAZING!!!! I absolutely love this book and series! I'm so glad there is another Novella to read because I don't want this to end 😭

Four Horseman- 5🌟

I loved this series, it is dark and gripping. I have not read Penelope Douglas before, although if she writes like this, I will be reading more! I feel like I can finally breathe again! It was unputdownable! The narrators did an outstanding job; Jeremy York is a new fave to listen to!

“You’re either have my back, you’re at my side or you’re in my way”

I may have cried a little after finishing this book. This series has me in an absolute chokehold. I can’t wait to start it again.
Penelope Douglas wrote such amazing and captivating stories of the four horsemen and the narrators did an outstanding job telling each story.

Loved It

Another great book by Penelope Douglas. All the books in the series have been brilliant. Look forward to reading her future books and hope she carries on with the new generation. Brilliant narration and hoping she continues her series with both Jeremy York and Tatiana Sokolov.

OMFG!!!!

I HAD CHILLS RUN DOWN MY BODY AT THE END OF THIS BOOK..... I HAD TO REPLAY THE LAST FEW MINUTES OVER AGAIN AND GOT CHILLS THE 2ND TIME.

What's going to happen to Athos and and everyone? I hate cliffhangers....seriously!!!!!!

I absolutely fell in love with this series and need to know what happens. This series is just amazing. It is truly DARK Romance and it not for the faint of heart. There is child abuse, sexual abuse, rape, you name it, so if you have triggers, this series is not for you. However, if you love Dark Romance, this series is phenomenal, just start with book 1.

I love the narrators, they are great!

Nightfall by Penelope Douglas
Emory lived a life of pain and abuse, to protect her aging Grandmother. Will had been infatuated with Emory, the nerd, the girl with big glasses, and clothes that hide her body, she tried her utmost not to be seen. But there was so much more to her, and he wanted her. Emory rejected him at every turn. Until they spend a magical night together and then it all comes crashing down. Emory did what she thought she had to. And Will had vowed for revenge. While we all thought Will to be the one that was not calculated, in this story we see a different side to him, and how he planned to bring down the mighty. Included in that plan is Emory, except she lands up in Blackchurch, the place where the rich and famous send their sons to be taught the lesson to never disgrace the family. Emory finds herself in a terrible situation especially since she was the cause of Will's fall from grace. What are the chances he would forgive her? And are the men in Blackchurch setting her up for the ultimate fall For me personally, I found this story long-winded and a tad boring, with everything but the kitchen sink thrown in. The early days of Will and Emory were great, you feel the connection, but then Blackchurch happened, and it played out like a shock factor, to see how you could push the reader’s boundaries. I don’t have a problem with boundaries if they move the story along and it makes sense. But it didn’t make sense, the characters were not the same – something was off. If anything, I felt like the author just had fleeting thoughts and threw them all in and unfortunately it came across as a mess. There were parts that I really enjoyed and other parts that were so unnecessary and came across as filler. Overall, it was just an okay read for me, I really did expect more from Ms. Douglas on this one. I listened to this and the narrators did a superb job - I just was not wow on this story.

Great ending

OMG I loved this ending. All of the characters eventually tired together and got their happy endings. The book ends with a little mystery so I'm left wanting more.

Nightfall Audiobook Review

Nightfall by Penelope Douglas
Devil's Night Series #4
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5
This installment is centered around Emory and Will. Will has been "missing", but has really been at Blackchurch, a prison of sorts. Will has always been Damon's ride or die, but has also always been very mysterious. Until now. We get a look into Will and also Emory as their relationship forms. As always, I like Damon more and more with each book as he softens and evolves. The ending with the next generation was great and can't wait to see what happens there with Fire Night.

WILL you have my 🤍🤍🤍 10/5⭐️!!!!

Omg words can’t express how much I love this book. By far my favorite of the series😇 second being hideaway! This book explains so much of what happened to will throughout the series and how he always felt less connected to everyone. Emory’s story is so heartbreaking and I found myself crying so many times throughout this book but I also laughed so much! I loved loved the suspense and seeing will have a backbone, I love that he’s a sweetheart but he also need to stand up for himself! Ahhh just perfection!!! 10/5⭐️! 5/5🌶🥵
