cannot stand lacy laurel her way of narrarting is so none changeable.She seems to talk in a melodic tone throughout the book. I sometimes found myself not sure who she was talking to and where.Very disappointed

Absolute Fire!

Niccolaio Andretti is brooding, angry, and rude. He is pissed off at the world for the way he has to live his life now that there is a hit out on him. He is to the point of paranoia always having to watch his back and stay alert at all times, just to try and stay alive. With a hefty bounty on his head he can't afford not to be cautious at all times.

Minka Reynolds is a law student at Wilton. She is also doing whatever it takes to get custody of her little sister, even if it means using her body to get an older man to marry her. That's right, she has resorted to gold digging knowing that is the only way she will be able to show the social workers and the court that she is stable enough to be able to care for her sister. She finds older men who have money and tries whatever she can to get a ring on her finger. She is constantly hitting road blocks though. She can't seem to land them and yes, she's mostly miserable but that's life. She can sacrifice her happiness for now because she knows once she gets her sister back she will be happy again.

When Niccolaio and Minka first meet they are instant enemies. The attraction is there and it seems to piss both of them off, this isn't suppose to happen. Minka can't afford to be attracted to him, she's trying to land her mark and he seems so far away from her mark it doesn't matter how attractive he is, he isn't sugar daddy material. Niccolaio despises his attraction to Minka, he can't afford to let his guard down, that will get him killed, she is just an inconvenience that he needs to figure out how to get rid of.

The fireworks between the two of them are there but neither of them are willing to light the fuse, they keep avoiding their attraction and skirting around it as if it isn't there, probably hoping if they avoid it maybe it will go away. The problem is they can't avoid it, they can't even avoid each other. They get thrown into a situation together and in order to save both of their lives they have to stay together. It's inevitably going to end badly... or is it?


I love these books so much! They are captivating and keep you guessing and engulf you completely. I'm obsessed. They are so riveting! Well written and flow perfectly. They are sooo worth the read.

The narrators did a fantastic job on this book! The emotions were captivated perfectly! Well done!!

SO loved the narration

This book was it for me. THe narration was so perfect and brought the story to another level for me. Lacy Laurel and DC Cole were amazing and it was just so much fun to listen to this series. THe book is great, the writing keeps you engaged and the characters are so good. Great mafia story.

Unbelievably good

This series of books is so very entertaining. There are twists and turns and ups and downs that the characters go through are riveting. It’s the kind of book that leaves you wanting more and more

No anger here just love for this book

I enjoyed listening to Niccolaio Andretti. I loved the narration, it was easy to follow and the performance was great. I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes mafia books, sassy heroines and cocky heroes who would do anything for their loved ones, or a combination of all the above. I look forward to listening to more books narrated by Lacy Laurel and D.C. Cole. I can’t wait to read book 3 in this series!

enjoyable

this one took me a while to get into but once it got a bit further in I really enjoyed it, I enjoyed book 1 more but this was good too , still looking forward to reading/listening to the next books in the series
narrators were great and read the parts perfectly , cant fault them at all

Action Packed

This is book two in the Five Syndicates series, and I believe it was just as good as book one! Lots of action to keep you engaged in the story. I love the fact that this book gives both insights and has dual narrative to really get an insight on both their thoughts, fears, and motivation behind their actions. As always Lacy and DC did an outstanding job.

Another great Parker S Huntington book!!!

Niccolaio Andretti!!!! I loved this! Parker S Huntington has a way with stories that makes you want to listen/read without stopping. I loved Niccolaio and Minka’s story! I finished it quite quickly and enjoyed every minute of it!!!!

Lacy Laurel and D C Cole did an excellent job with the narration!!!

Sex, Sex and sexy

Great addition to the series. Niccolaio he is a dark and sexy bad ass. Minka is a force all on her own. Another Mafia romance to add to your collection. The narration from Lacy Laurel and D.C Cole was awesome. Andretti love to say that name!

I can't wait to see! If you love a great book then give this series a try! I'm almost certain you won't regret it! Can't wait to get my hands on book 3! Lacy Laurel and D. C. Cole did an excellent job at bringing Minka and Niccolaio to life for me!
