About this listen
At 28, Lucy is doing well for herself. She's got a great job, her boss loves her, and her friends think she's great. The only problem is she does feel the need to lie outrageously on dates - often with hilarious results.
But when Lucy decides that her flatmate and oldest friend, Henry, is in need of a makeover, nothing can prepare them for the surprise results! Before long, Lucy realises that their lives will never be the same again.

Lovely Listen
I have listened to nearly all Jane Costello 's books & they feel like putting on a comfy pair of new fluffy socks. I look forward to knowing it will be a lovely listen.
I enjoyed the story & the narrator, so I would recommend it.
Although I don't think Jane Costello knows that Marilyn Manson is an actual man.

Predictable
Like all this kind of stories you know already how it ends. The bits and bobs in between where alright. The performance was very good though.

Predictable, but easy listening
The storyline was quite predictable as to where it was going to lead. But an easy listen netherthe less.

I guessed the ending within the first 15 mins!
I long for a book that keeps me guessing all the way through and has an exciting ending. Unfortunately this did not live up to my expectations. I persevered in the hopes of a twist in the end but to no avail.
I do like the narrator and felt she portrayed the characters well.

not my favourite of hers
I knew within 3 chapters what the outcome would be. But her characters are always funny and interesting.

Ok if you are a 17 year old
If you are 17, a romantic at heart and believe the only life definition for a girl is to find a man whilst, along the line, having bad male bosses and colleagues, and, most importantly have never seen Bridget Jones, then this book is for you.
As a 65 year old more cyclical/realistic person, it was too cliched and SO like the Bridget Jones stories, I would think there might be a justification for copying! Whacky friends, salt of the earth parents, childhood vengeances and constant clumsy catastrophes befalling someone who - just for the 2020s more feminist generation actually seems to manage a good job - is verging on unbelievable.
