Hooked on this world and its stories
Brilliant Narration. Listening while crafting enjoying the roller-coaster of emotions and situations, I forget the worries of the day.
The book ended and I'm searching for the next but I'm going to have to wait, left on a dozey of a cliff hanger.

Fantastic !
This is such a cleverly written, gripping story. Ava really has a talent for keeping you on the edge of your seat, wanting more 😀 The narration is beautifully performed, making it very enjoyable and easy to listen to.

I’m loving this series!
When I tell you I devoured this book!! It was impossible to put down! This is book 2 in the series. We’re back with Riva and her guys. Reforging relationships, healing, learning to trust and love again, making new ally’s, and on the run to save their lives! It’s action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Also, the narrators are brilliant!

A remarkable sequel. I am in love with this series and I am so impatient for the next book!
Strong world-building and characters that hook you right from the start to the end.
It's also nice to see the crossovers and to get a glimpse of the characters.
Perfect for readers of urban fantasy novels.
Lovely voices for these characters.

oh my goodness
Oh my...I am so loving this world. The Shadow bloods are trying to find help to figure out more about what they are, and help with their power... and they find help from an unexpected source. Tension is high with others of their "kind", and not everything is quite what it seems.
I read and listen to it, and the narrators are amazing

Love these characters ❤️
Book 2 is even more high octane than book 1 was! The crew has to keep running away from the Guardians, their lives are still in danger, and we get some awesome cameos from other monster series from this author and some are friend and some end up being foe. I loved some of the snark in this one, liked the amount of humor in this one despite some of the tougher scenes. I appreciated that Riva shows Dom that she cares for him and loves him despite how his body is changing, that Riva finally got to see everything regarding the night where she almost killed them all/tried to hurt herself (in book 1), that Jake had his epiphany moment and getting to see his side/how he has been shouldering everything made me dislike him more. We definitely get some heat in this one from more than one of the guys (not gonna spoil it for you!) but I was shocked by one in such a good way. Damn I can't think of sugar cookies the same way again 😉. I really hope in book 3 we get to understand what happened to Z. I wanted to give him a virtual hug (since touch is hard for him) and feel like I am gonna fall so hard for him. He was trying so hard towards the end of this book to be strong and brave for Riva and show glimpses of what he was feeling. I feel like his trauma is gonna break me for sure!
Narration was again done fabulously. I really felt for these characters. Like with Z I felt his anguish and torment at not being able to show his feelings/touch Riva like he wanted to. I felt the relief when Riva saw the memories. The tension with Riva and the guys and how they came together when they couldnt take it anymore haha. I thought the steamy scenes were fab, totally couldnt listen like I normally do while doing chores haha, kept getting distracted but 🔥 hehe. They truly help bring these characters to life, really enjoyed their performances ❤️
The plot in this one I thought helped bring the story more together. I liked how we got to see more powers, more evolution, the interaction with full shadowkind and these shadowbloods. I totally called the twist at the end (had an evil cackle once it was revealed haha). Cannot wait for book 3 to get here (esp in audio since I am gonna wait until I have it before continuing on).

Loved it.
I am absolutely loving this series. The characters are great and it is fun to see crossovers from other series join in on the adventures. The boys are finally starting to realize that they were wrong and I love the groveling that has been going on. The narrators are fantastic and I look forward to the next book.
