Summary

Who do you trust in a world built on lies?

Rebecca Dawson lives a life that many women want - married to wealthy, handsome businessman Jamie and new mum to beautiful daughter Ella.

She thinks nothing can burst her bubble, until a series of sinister events leaves Rebecca convinced that she is being stalked.

While her only priority is keeping Ella safe, Rebecca knows that this might be more than coincidence and fears that her past is back to haunt her. Because, somebody knows what she did. They are watching her, tormenting her, and soon, they are going to make her pay.

While she hides her past, Rebecca finds herself unable to trust anyone, not even her husband Jamie. Because, Jamie is keeping secrets, too.

Is Jamie gas-lighting Rebecca into thinking she is going mad in a bid to cover up his own sordid lies? Or, is someone more sinister seeking their revenge?

good story line but terrible narrator

I found the narrator very difficult to listen to, a really good book but had to listen to it in sections because of how it was being read to me. such an annoying voice

not impressed

I wasn't gripped by this story; I found it too far-fetched. I've listened to dozens of audiobooks and the quality of the narration makes such a big difference to the book - in this case it was very annoying as the narrator had a high child-like voice and she didn't alter the delivery when speaking in her sister-in-law's voice! It was enough to give anyone a migraine!!!

Disappointed - give it a miss

I have loved all the other books I have read by Casey but this one I really struggled to finish. Mainly because the narrators voice was just so childishly grating but also the story was soo predictable
My advice is stick to what your good at Casey and don’t use this narrator again

What a unexpected turn of event manipulation at its best.

Beautifully written takes you through a gripping story and when you feel you have got to grips with the characters it spins it around and makes you gasp. Giving you a insight to how people’s minds can be so manipulating.

Fab

Happy family & a new baby. What could go wrong.
Well it depends what you’re past involved.
A story that had me not wanting to put it down. A twisted tale that just kept giving.
Narration was great. A local(ish) accent to me & I enjoyed that.

Narration grating

The story held my interest despite the awful, grating narrator. Her high pitched tone seldom varied.

Terrific Story

Looking at the cover I thought this would be a bit too dark for me. As soon as it started the narrator won me over. Her voice is sweet and I love the accent. She is a very expressive story teller. The story itself has quite a few twists. It isn't dark (as I thought it would be) it is intriguing and suspenseful. I loved it. I highly recommend it as a very entertaining read.

Couldn't stop listening...

This was definitely one that I couldn't put down! There were twists and turns with suspense, love, heart break, and even rage! Thank you for the great read! I look forward to another by this author.
Even though I usually don't like the narrators with thick accents, this one was tolerable. She even added so much drama to the main character.

good book

storyline great however periodically a word/s would be repeated quite a few times which would take me out of the story and could be annoying other than that I enjoyed the book.
