this book was beautifully read by Jilly Bong who gave each character its own voice. the story was totally absorbing and full of real life traumas. could happily listen to again

me and mr jones

this was an enjoyable story. I reduced the stars on performance only because I didn't like the narrators 'mens' accents. too pompous, sorry. Haha just my opinion. enjoy l.

Easy, enjoyable listen

After listening to a couple of heavy going books I needed something a bit lighter & easy going to listen to & this was it!! Got my attention & interest from the start, was easy to follow with great narration. Made me smile & laugh, whilst sympathising with the characters. Just a lovely listen with likeable characters.

A beautifully written and narrated story. Lucy is my new favourite author and never disappoints with true to life characters, feelings and events. I loved this book.

Great story

Great story, with all the emotions of characters. Loved the children's characters they seem so mature

Enjoyable audio book

What did you like most about Me and Mr Jones?

I liked the authors ability to set the scene. I could imagine every place the author situated the characters .

Who was your favorite character and why?

Izzy was well written as the protective mother with a hidden past.

Did Jilly Bond do a good job differentiating each of the characters? How?

Jolly Bonds narration was good on the whole . Though I did get confused at times when there was open dialogue between two characters without a "said Izzy" at the end as sometimes the characters voices were just too similar to know who was speaking. Male voices were achallenge too all sounded the same.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Trouble at seaside

Any additional comments?

Emma's character ? Why was she there ?

Wish the narrator was less jolly all the time

Enjoyed the storyline. Would have enjoyed it more if Ms Bond would stop sounding as if she was 'bubbling over' all the time. She has a good voice but she spoils it.
