Summary

In Canterbury, as the virus rages out of control, one troop of Royal Marine Commandos fights a 360-degree battle for survival, while also racing to rescue the Channel Tunnel survivors from a relentless siege all before Hellfire missile strikes and carpet bombing kill anyone left alive. Across the Atlantic, the crew of the USS John F. Kennedy risks a catastrophic reactor meltdown to get out of the path of a 10-mile-wide tide of the dead; while, onshore at the Naval Air Base, Wesley's tiny team maintains a lonely vigil which turns horrifyingly dangerous as the edge of the storm hits, pushing desperate civilians ahead of it.

In the air above, Gunnery Sergeant Fick leads a handpicked fireteam of specops Marines halfway across North America to take and defend an airfield on a remote island but learns to his cost that it is a place with a terrible history, and very dangerous secrets. Finally, out on Lake Michigan, Alpha team races toward extraction... but first must fight their most harrowing battle yet this time against the living, who are both more treacherous and a hell of a lot better armed than the dead.

Who will be left standing at the end? Find out if your heart can take the strain in the biggest and most explosive Arisen book yet: Arisen, Book Four: Maximum Violence.

A series that just keeps giving . . .

As this is book four of the series probably the only question that needs answering is . . . is it as good as the first three?

Yes.

Possibly my shortest ever review :-)

Another awesome book in the series

I listened to this book after the omnibus and this one just continues with the excellence of the previous books. It will just keep you on the edge and always wanting more. I became addicted to listening for what would come next. I am a big fan of R.C. Bray, he is an excellent reader and really brings out the characters in the book

Outstanding

I can't stop listening to this Series. From book 0.5 to book 4 so far and not a disappointing chapter amongst them. R C Bray performs perfectly yet again.

Exciting, if a little predictable!

Well read by RC Bray, (apart from the best-forgotten efforts to do an English accent!)

The action jumps from place to place at a very fast pace, (a bit like a leaping Foxtrot!) It does, however, manage to maintain some cohesion

My only quibble is that it is too short for a whole credit - this should be part of a triple package like the first three installments.

Enjoying these :)

I must admit, I wasn't sure if I should get all the books, but I did, (now up to book 7) and I'm enjoying them through the whole of the series.

I do think there were a few cringe-worthy mistakes here in regards to the character/story, but I also do think that the authors also gave some convincing reasons as to why those happened. I guess no one is totally infallible and that is what the Special Opps guys are supposed to be.

Still, very entertaining series, :) Thanks for bringing this to my ears and keeping me from going insane at work haha

Frustrating

I have to recommend but have to take issue with the non-top tier like decisions of the top tier team. Very frustrating read...

Can't get enough

I really enjoy the amazing attention to detail and the references to other modern zombie fiction.

More from the great series

I love these books. I listen to them in the car on long journeys and the distance flies by. Keep them coming.

One of the best Zombie series available...

I've listened to very nearly all of the Zombie Apocalypse type books & series.
Some good some not so good,
So I can say with confidence that this series is definitely one of the best out there.
R. C. Bray is perfect for these books too he's one of my favourite narrators.
One important thing though.. These books have to be read in sequence they are not stand alone in any way,
You'll be missing out if you don't start at the beginning.
Highly recommended.
