About this listen
I recently discovered I am the previously believed dead Fae King. But it isn’t all coronations and revolution like I’d hoped.
Bramble’s Edge Academy was established to train Fae how to control and wield their elemental power. And, I have only completed one of three years. I don’t have the power I need.
I have more power than I bargained for and no idea how to utilize it. Let alone eliminate the ones responsible for my parent’s death before they get to me, too.
Word gets out that the king is back, and my friends scramble to mask my identity. Those responsible for the destruction of Fae society turn up the heat on me, leaving those that I love in the crossfire. Maurelle and Brokk end up getting burned.
Whether I like it or not, I must take huge risks if I am going to save those closest to me and have a shot at freeing the rest of the realm. The clock is ticking, and time has almost run out.

Heating Up
Things are heating up in this book. We see the four guys Ryker, Brock, Daine, Sol and Maurelle of course return to Brambles academy because as luck would have it they do still need to learn to control their powers. Things aren’t much better than what they were in their first year. But they do get to help some of the fae community. But it comes at a cost. With twists and turns through out the whole story it’s not looking good for the group. And I’m guessing book 3 it’s going to be just as chaotic as the first 2.
Alex as usual did an amazing job narrating the story.

Amazing and addictive
I loved this book every bit as much as the first one, and it was just too addictive to put down. Ryker continues to attract loyalty and attention as his power builds and it gets increasingly harder to escape detection. As they search for the power tainting the academy, Brock and Morelle are captured and it becomes clearer the council is involved, but not who is pulling the strings. The continuity from the first book was seamless, and the drama increased keeping me on the edge of my seat and begging for more, I'm desperately waiting for book 3!

Very enjoyable
These characters have developed into great characters. They are not afraid of going after what they want. Great narration from Alex. Very well written.

Another great book.
I received this book free for an honest review.
Rykers power are getting more powerful and he needs to hide them to protect him and his friends.
However the council are aware the king has returned and send enforcers to search and they take Brokk and Maurelle and use spell and potions to try and make them admit who the king is.
I really enjoyed book 2 and I am eagerly awaiting book 3.
